Woo-hoo! Yay!

Not that I dislike Matt Smith, but an older man who can bring something different to the role is a good start. Whodathunkit, eh?

Now, a meeting between the William Hartnell or Jon Pertwee Doctor and Malcolm Tucker - that I'd pay good money to see!

Liz and I are still working our way through Tenant's episodes.

Yeah, we're kind of late to the modern Doctor Who.

Having an older Dr will be great they have had young Dr's the last two that did great cant wait for an older one to bring a bit of a flashback to the show. :)

I've only just began watching the series (early season 3 of the new series) but i was surprised to find out that the early doctors were older.

Didn't the Doctor beat the Sycorax leader with a tangerine?
Can't find the clip but it was from the 2005 christmas episode.

They appear in every series but they have had less influence in the later series.

I liked the Daleks until Moffat pretty much destroyed the Doctor/Dalek relationship, the longest antagonist/protagonist rivalry in fiction. (Rebooted franchises don't count)

Oh, John Frobisher and Lucius Caecilius Iucundus are playing the Twelfth Doctor... :)
That opens some interesting possibilities.
Like, the Twelfth Doctor was there all the time, just incognito.
