A-Team Movie
« on: March 11, 2010, 04:15:38 AM »
trailer

does it look worth it?

wasnt much of an a-team fan and cant seem to decide if it'll be worth the theater. i'm worried that it'll be a typical american action movie but dont think i'll have enough of a starting base to compare it to the show. it's kinda looking like that will be a good thing.
In case of rapture, can I have your car?

Without George Peppard, I'm not really interested. I might see it just for the almost 100% certainty of a Mr. T cameo, most likely managing a hot dog cart or playing movie BA's dad. I would have preferred that the filmmakers had taken a page from the Star Trek movies and reunited the original cast. Maybe the surviving members of the A-Team all come out of their respective hiding places when Hannibal is murdered, (off-camera of course), and his daughter finds some piece of information that puts her in contact with the team. The rest of the movie focuses on an elaborate revenge plot that pays lots of homage to recurring jokes and trends from the original show.

At some point, BA will be drugged with spiked buttermilk, loaded onto and later thrown unconscious from an airplane. That much is certain.

Having the villain's open-roofed jeep flip over at 80 miles an hour without harming any of the passengers is optional.

I'll go see it. It looks like it was made by someone that liked the show.

I just want a "I pity da' fool" in there somewhere.
Will I get Night Owl points for quitting but not as much for getting fired?
Will I still be a member of the Owl's Pals? I'd hate to turn in my card. It's got a real owl feather under the lamination and everything.

Night Owl: Oh, indeed. I quit many a job ...better than being fired. You can keep your card... in fact, you get double points for quitting!

The A Team was awsome, despite the disturbing lack of death and dismemberment.

I want Hannibal to show up hiding in a big dinosaur costume or some such thing, and he had better be smoking a cigar. I don't care how politically incorrect it is. Hannibal without a cigar just wouldn't be Hannibal.

I could be wrong, but wasn't there a woman on the team, or at least one who was a regular ally?

Yes. They had a female reporter who assisted them. In the first 1.5 seasons it was Amy (Melinda Culea) and for the rest of the show it was Tawnia (Marla Heasley).
All right, I’ve been thinking, when life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade! Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man whose gonna burn your house down – with the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!
