Tea
« on: February 09, 2008, 11:25:31 PM »
Which teas do the members of the village favour?

I'm pretty much exclusively an Earl Grey man but I'll accept Tetley if I'm at someones house, the other 'everyday' teas taste like evil.

I don't want you coffee swilling hooligans coming in here, stamping on our china and bellowing about 'coffee superior, tea inferior' (bonus points if you can guess the oblique reference) your poison of choice has it's place in my hot beverage intake too.

mmmm

tea

Earl Grey is good.  For tea bags, which I rarely use but have in the house for occasions I run out of leaves, I like Twinnings, I also enjoy the Lady Grey Tea they have. It's a nice calmer hint for times I want Early Grey, but not quite. :D

The tea shoppe near me has some very awesome roobios tea and I am in love with the Vanilla Rooibos.  I also enjoy the yerba mate they have - it's a spiced one and I could drink pots and pots of that the entire day.   Though I suppose technically neither one of those is a tea...but an entire other plant.

I've not found a black tea with the leaves that I am wild about yet, well, I shouldn't say that. I have not found a black tea I can steep properly.  I know a few I have will be perfect when I get everything down just right. :D

I do have this one blueberry green tea that I adore, as well as an apple green tea.  Both of these green teas are what I find myself going back to the most often.

Then there is always the chai tea from starbucks that I am addicted to. I consider this more a yummy milk drink though, as there is barely any tea in it at all.

Currently drinking a fair few and to me, it really depends on my mood and the time of the day. I have a green tea with lemon for early morning and a green tea with various flowers for those drowsy mornings. Different earl-greys ith jasmin, orange and the lieks are good for afternoons where coffee isn't what I need.

I drink all kinds, but I'm a sucker for milk and one sugar.
:)
English or Irish breakfast are my mainstays... but I do appreciate proper green tea every now and again.

Irish Breakfast all the way! Twinings specifically, because it's the easiest to get in the states, but a friend of mine got me some Barry's, and it was really good.

I usually drink it with a bit of milk, in the Irish manner, but cream is good as well.

Coffee!

It's good, it's got a kick... it's dare I say... the essence of America.

Will I get Night Owl points for quitting but not as much for getting fired?
Will I still be a member of the Owl's Pals? I'd hate to turn in my card. It's got a real owl feather under the lamination and everything.

Night Owl: Oh, indeed. I quit many a job ...better than being fired. You can keep your card... in fact, you get double points for quitting!

I used to hate tea until I tried green tea with Gensing. The stuff absolutly blew changed everything. Oh, and I know someone with Norweigen family who apparently makes some kind of 'Godly' Tea, of which i'm still waiting to try myself.

I probably drink about 3 mugs of tea a day.
What type of tea? The tea that comes in tea bags.

I'm Tea's Bitch and will drink it in any form regardless of whether its teabag tea, loose leaf, green, flavoured, with/without milk although no sugar for me please...

i just fucking love tea but I always try to make sure it's fair trade.

I love coffee too but that's a decidedly different affair.
