Wow...
« on: November 10, 2016, 08:07:16 PM »
I've been watching the news covering Trump's visit to the White House and Capitol Hill.

And I''m thinking there may yet be some hope...

Trump looks like the proverbial deer in the headlights.  He has all the demeanor of a man who had not expected to win, and finding out now that it is a reality, may now believe he has gotten in over his head.

All subjective opinion by me, of course.  But if he actually has some humility, if he actually understands the awesome responsibility he has been handed, and makes some good appointments, hires some good advisors, and takes small steps instead of broad and swift sweeping changes...  then perhaps we may be able wade through this.

It's the first glimmer of optimism I've had for some time.

My Dad suggested something that... makes a scary amount of sense.

Back in 2008, Trump said something along the lines of 'if I ran for president, I'd be a republican candidate, you can say anything and the supporters will buy it' [citation needed] and it's also quite well known that he was good friends with the Clinton family, like he played Golf with Bill and everything.

Upon meeting Obama, he mentioned how he was a great man and how he enjoyed meeting him.

Could it be possible that he's a democrat plant? Like a double agent? To try and win the redneck vote and even the odds. One thing as well, that I've repeatedly said throughout this election is that if Hillary went up against a candidate like Romney or McCain, she wouldn't stand a chance. Really, Trump helped her get further than she ever would have done, from what I've seen. I don't know many people who are pro Hillary, most are anti Trump.

Maybe this was a win-win situation for them? Either way, it would make a bloody good movie. We can't exactly make a real movie on Donald Trump's presidency as Robert Rodrigez already did it with 'Machete.'

Very Interesting theory. It seems like he's already dropping his more extreme policies like the Muslim ban. I had a small feeling he was just being crazy for the votes, but I don't know if that's what happened.
But it'll help

My wife has a different theory:

She says he's just dead tired from only getting a total of only two hours of sleep for the past week.

Probably a better theory than mine.
