I'm going to be lazy and recycle something that I wrote on another forum...
Here's my take: No offence to anyone who owns any consoles that I pick on below, this is just my opinion and I don't treat it as fact.
To me, it's kind of a no brainer, last time I was torn like a broad in a romance novel between the X-Box 360 and PS3. One was a good friend of mine who was just going through a bad time and constantly stealing my money and the other was a successful business man who was bringing in a lot more money than he was taking from my purse... ALSO IT HAD BETTER EXCLUSIVES! (Well at the time, I think that I've regretted buying a PS3 a little bit less over the last two years as less games are Xbox exclusive and other than Left 4 Dead (which I have on PC anyway, with mods ) I don't really feel like I've missed out on anything with my PS3 anymore.
This gen... Well the Xbox one is expensive and it does hundreds of millions of things. Unfortunately none of these things are game related... I don't get why I'd want to watch movies on it, or TV shows "on demand" and what's this "friend" thing I keep hearing about?
The Wiiu smelled a bit fishy to me when it was first released.
"Yo, check us out! We can play current gen games like Batman Arkham Asylum and Mass Effect 3!"
Well I should hope that you are able to, considering that you are a NEXT GEN CONSOLE!
Anyway, games seem to have just stopped on WiiU at least to my knowledge anyway...
This next generation doesn't appeal to me at all, the games are the reason for this.
"Look we have Fifa!"
Oh good, a game that hasn't budged an inch in almost twenty years, I have Fifa 07 on my shelf for playstation 2 so I shouldn't need that...
"Well, we have Call of duty!"
Oh good, a dying fad that hasn't been good since World at War in 2008! A boring "noob shooter" that requires no skill and has the mental age of a ten year old who was kicked in the head by a horse, NEXT!
"We have Toca race driver!"
I'm just curious Sony/Microsoft; do you have any games on offer that I couldn't just play on my PS3? In fact no, I could play most of these on my PS2...
"Well we have Killzone!"
Oh good, an FPS that was so good that I didn't even bother to buy the last one.
"Halo!"
Oh good, a game that I've never played and don't really have much intention on doing either...
At this stage I would probably end up buying a PS4, even if it was just an empty box with a dog turd inside it (like the PS3). But I don't really know why, the games sound like they are going to be scarce and most of it sounds like stuff I could just play on my PS3.
Unless they swoop in with a new Timesplitters at the last minute to save the day, I think I'll wait for this gen to get better.
Actually scratch that, swooping is bad.
