So I just finished Jury duty...
« on: April 22, 2009, 02:19:28 AM »
Here's a link to the trial: http://www.theindychannel.com/news/13791738/detail.html

There's other coverage out there, but this page describes the charges pretty well. We ended up finding him guilty, after about a week and a half of work.

It was seriously emotionally exhausting. I haven't been able to tell anyone about it and I felt like I was going to burst! Crazy.
love, fish

Yeesh! The article doesn't say but you'd think if the guy had time to do all that to the kid the parents could have stepped in immediately and stopped at least some of it. Was that not the case?

I never get picked for the jury. Just as well - for most people, it's a day (or days) off work. Not so for the self-employed. Kinda blows.

But glad you got to finally let it out :)  Must have been interesting. Did anyone dissent and think he was innocent? If so, what finally convinced him/her? I could sooo see myself threatening bodily injury to the one schmuck holding us all up... maybe that's why I never get picked :)
