Ok, so I found one cool thing so far: when you're typing and someone posts before you, you'll get a warning when posting.
As there might be a few features that some users might miss, please share if you find anything.

Advanced permission and user management.
NICE! Very impressive.

Oh... Mods!
'Buy Me A Beer' (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=830)
Allows users to reward other users for their posts by buying them a beer (or at least donating enough money via Paypal to buy one).

Hey Bluecross! Remember when I posted that giant picture of Matt Damian on the board and change the header text to: The Matt Damian fan club and a co-worker saw you posting and thought you liked Matt Damian?
Wasn't that a hoot? =)

So, what exactly will these "Newbie" tags be replaced with as we start racking up posts.
Also, can the stars be customized or disabled?

The default is:
Newbie 0
Jr. Member 50
Full Member 100
Sr. Member 250
Hero Member 500
This can be changed, disabled, painted rusty (but not shiny) and anything else. This is most likely one of the things that will be changed.

Oh boy... Diamond Gypsy's going to love these quote pyramids!

Who of any noteworthiness is Matt Damian?
-
ben aflek's love child with kevin smith.
or something along those lines.
-
Oh, you mean Matt Damon (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000354/ (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000354/))...
Ok... I give up. How on earth do you post a link where the linked text is NOT the URL? The button just gives me <url> tags.
Obviously I wanted the text "Matt Damon" to be a hyperlink to the following URL. Can't for the life of me figure it out.
-
The trick is to put your link text inside the url tags. So inside your tag brackets (that's the square brackets) you'd put url="http:whatever" and then you put your link text in, then put a closing url tag (/url)
This is a link leading to our homepage (http://"www.unwashed.org")
-
Ok. Trying <url=http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000354/>Matt Damon</url>
(but with square brackets, obviously.)
Matt Damon (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000354/)
Ahhh.. That's it. Thanks Swash.

If you use Firefox (and who doesn't love a good Fox?), try the Make Link extension.
Make HTML or ForumCode links (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/142)

Hehe, Rutger Hauer actually. Dolph Lundgren isn't in that one. :)
-
Rutger or Dolph? No one really knows...

There's a name I haven't heard in a while. The last thing I saw him in was a few episodes of Smallville a few seasons ago. And of course there's his most memorable role/moment http://youtube.com/watch?v=Dk70YMVuULg

I know who Ben Affleck is. I just found it an interesting juxtaposition that after I was ribbing Doombot on her misspelling of Damon you chose to answer my question invoking reference to his childhood friend Affleck and spelled that name wrong as well.
And he wasn't known as Bennifer. He collectively with each of the last two girlfriends he had (Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Garner, now his wife) were known as Bennifer. And since the birth of their child they have decided to maintain a fairly low key presence in Hollywood so you don't hear much about them anymore. (Though, they probably still show up in the celebrity rags on occasion. I wouldn't know.)

Since the birth of their child or the death of their careers? :P
