Here's my latest. (Not that it's perfect) I get a lot of graphic design and business recommendations.

Here's a few

Blades of Glory (NO)
Transformers (YES)
Mystery Men HD (I don't OWN a HD player)
Heroes (YES)
Look me in the eye: My Life with Aspergers (I don't have Aspergers or know anyone with it)
Baby Pacifiers (Not pregnant)
Christian Slaves / Muslim Masters (I think I looked for a Islam book once)
Are you Being Served? (YES)
Fired!: Tales of the Canned, Canceled, Downsized, & Dismissed   (OH YES!)

I remember when I got my hair ruined after a bad perm, I ordered some books on fixing my hair. Then I started getting recommendations that SEEMED to be Afrocentric. Weird.

THEN I was trying to tap the gay market for my kayak shop and looked at some gay travel books. After that, I started getting recommendations like: "The best of African Lesbian Erotica 2004"

What unusual recommendations do you get?

Will I get Night Owl points for quitting but not as much for getting fired?
Will I still be a member of the Owl's Pals? I'd hate to turn in my card. It's got a real owl feather under the lamination and everything.

Night Owl: Oh, indeed. I quit many a job ...better than being fired. You can keep your card... in fact, you get double points for quitting!

ALL my recommendations in books are either Star Wars books or Anne Rice books. Brilliant deduction! I bought two Star Wars books and the Vampire Chronicles from Amazon.. So obviously, if I like The Vampire Chronicles, I must also like The Vampire Chronicles.

i haven't gotten anything weird from them yet... just compositing and camera tracking so far.
i don't shop there very often.

I confuse them. I order randomt higns of so different genres, I have yet to see an even remotely useful reccomendation ^_^

The Count of Monte Cristo Paperback by Alexandre Dumas (3 musketeers series is on my wish list)
Lady and the Tramp (50th Anniversary Edition) (I buy Disney online!)

I think I buy just about everything at Amazon.com. Heh.

Well I buy a book or CD from them about every few months, but they only seem to remember my latest purchase. My wife wanted the "celtic woman" Christmas CD, and I bought a book of Scottish Lute transcriptions on Guitar ("Highland King Vol II") so I got...
