Farewell Seamus Heaney
« on: August 30, 2013, 04:05:16 PM »
Heaney was one of my favourite poets and one of the catalysts for writing my own modest affairs.  His work inspired me to study English literature so apart from the world losing a towering literary figure it's a very personal loss, he managed to humanise so much of what I saw as thorny and pompus in poetry and opened the door to a breadth of other great writers.

Here's to Seamus, one of the greatest of the age.
