So a while ago I came across an article or maybe a new item that I had to rub my eyes to make sure that it was real.

Knight Warrior: The real life super hero of Salford.
I was amazed that anyone could wear tights in Salford (Greater Manchester UK) without anyone breaking their legs.

Sadly my doubts were less than prudent as the poor guy ended up getting repeatedly punched in the face by some local thugs. I still have to respect the fact that it was due to the wishes of his family and friends that he stopped, rather than out of fear of it happening again. I'm also rather impressed that he was able to do this for 3 years (I think it is now, possibly longer.)
