And so it begins...

Today...  Zombie Bees

It's only matter of time before it spreads to cats...

And then dogs...

And moving up the food chain to...

Yes...

You guessed it... Republicans!

I vaguely recall hearing something about research into a genetically modified virus to combat the flies.  The planned method of infection was to inject it into the larval cells in a hive to effectively innoculate the bees of that hive against the flies.  This was all based on the idea that the bees were infected while in the larval stage within the hive.  The virus is intended to be 100% species specific so theoretically the honey should still be edible and the bees should be unharmed.  But who knows.

As far as I know, Australia is the only continent with a parasite-free bee population.  There's apparently a thriving export market for Australian queens.

Damn flies, always making me feel ill. First it's they walk and puke on my dinner, then it's they inject thei larvae to feed on my flesh and now it's they're making zombie bugs... I hate flies. I kill all flies I see.
The Darkweb is tiny and unimpressive.

Damn I can see a horror movie starring bees fending off from the "undead" hordes!
The sun beyond the mountain glows
The yellow river seaward flows
You can enjoy a grander sight
By climbing to a greater height

I have run out of places to climb. I will abandon this body and take to the air. We will leave twin vapor trails in the air, white lines etched into these rocks. I am the aerial. In my passing, I will send news to each and every star.

Hey Blue, are you fiscally or socially liberal or both?

I mean, I hate Republicans, 'cause their moral views are so so bad.  But I hate Democrats because their fiscal views are so so bad, and their moral views are basically the same as Republicans.
I fall and I leap and

I'm sort of neutral toward Democrats but am really hostile towards Republicans; I tend to overgeneralize them, I suppose, and I shouldn't because we've had some good ones from Oregon (Wayne Morse,  Tom McCall).

The current US Congress makes me want to puke, and I put 85% of the blame on the Republicans ("First order of business: Fight Obama!   Second order of business: Fight Obama   Third order of business: Fight Obama  ad nauseum").   When that kind of ideology overshadows any sense of fiscal or moral responsibility, I end up hoping that they have shot themselves in both feet (and maybe the abdomen) and thus have no chance of re-election.

Bah...

Lewis Black sums it up best IMO  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZGk_wVgq_0

It seems lately that anytime the two parties are working together and agree on something it's time to bend over because we're about to get screwed.

Hey, remember when we had access to due process and it couldn't be denied to us at the whim of our government?

Heh... that was pretty funny.  But I'm not sure I could more than 8 minutes of him at a time. :)

Try this one. He's calmer at the beginning of it and it's about him being asked to host the White House correspondents dinner.

Man I can't believe what would possess someone to ask Black to host something like that. That's like.. having a gas spill, and offering him a cigarette.
