things are teh good with me. especially last night, were i got to see the King himself, BRUCE CAMPBELL, do a Q&A after my third time seeing Evil Dead: The Musical (no splatter zone this time, but it's still fun). he's really funny in person and was constantly zinging the audience... he even had some cups of fake blood to splash people with, hehe.

i was going to go out of town next weekend to do special effects make-up on a friend's short film, but due to scheduling conflicts (i work full time in the summer, and most of the shooting is being done on Wednesday), i'm more than likely going to have to just send my friend a quick crash course on how to do all the things he's going to need. still, he said he'd give me a credit anyway  ;D

Holy shit that's awesome.

Thanks, Sys.  I'm still waiting for more blood tests to be done since this was brought on in part from black mold exposure in New Orleans.  It was lots of things though.

Ack! =( Sorry to hear that. Black mold is nasty. I'm just sent a letter to our landlord about possible mold in our place. Hope things end up well.
Will I get Night Owl points for quitting but not as much for getting fired?

well, let's see

-decided that 23 is just a teensy bit too old to still be, you know...a complete and total child. Which means finding, you know, one of those whatchamacallits...tip of my tongue........oh yeah! job. I need a job. and more moving out and blowing my savings escaping this hell hole of....easy convenience and no responsibility.

-Got a guitar 5 years ago that I, uh,never....picked up. Not so much in the sense I never learned but in the sense I never actually picked it up. So I figured, hey, maybe it's about time I, you know...became skilled or talented in at least one way. So I'm learning how to play

-started drawing again. It's nice for when I want to show what it would look like if a gamma irradiated monster had a stare down with the world's most flamboyantly dressed mega-badass.

-I think I've decided to take the next few weeks and grow my somewhat bushy beard into a lion's mane to contrast against my freshly shaved dome. And who knows at what point in my life I will again be able to grow a lion's mane. This an important part of any young man/large cat's life.

Holy shit.  I just got my blood test back and found out that although black mold wasn't an issue, the fact that I had been given a drink laced with too many drugs to even list out was rather relevant (methamphetamine was one of them).

Good News: Not schizophrenic.

Bad News: Naive to the max.

Damn.  I'm glad I'm not dead.

Damn, there goes any chance of me saying something witty. Guess Sylvin's just gotta wait for the magic to happen.

Good news about the whole not schizo thing. Now might I suggest a bottle of indicator next time someone offers you a drink?
Hmm, I wonder.
=does some chemistry scribblin'=
I'll get back to you with the results

By screwing around in highschool and going to summerschool I've made $13,000.

I originally had a $7,000 enlistment bonus. Since I screwed up in school and had to take summerschool, I had to renegotiate my contract after I got my diploma. Since my ship date is within a month of when I renegotiated my contract, I get what my liaison called a quick-ship bonus. Now I have the max of $20,000.

The lesson learned is that hard work never pays off.

Wow... glad you're not dead as well.  Sounds like you had a rough time, sorry. :(

Damn.  I'm glad I'm not dead.

Us too! I wonder if this is the best outcome? You don't have black mold in your lungs nor are you schizophrenic. You just have a bad reaction to a drug. I take it there's probably no permanent side affects?

I'm still getting paid disability benefits through work.  I honestly don't work very hard when I am there, but getting paid 70% of my wages to sit and watch art movies all day...

I just want to laugh at everyone else's cruel misfortune!  Hahahahahahahaha.  :nice:

I did some lookin up on bad drugs usually slipped into beverages to get ladies more pliable.
And my results netted me nothing worthy of great breakthroughs.
Although, I did learn that adding methylene blue to a friends beer is a great way to freak them out when they suddenly start peeing green or blue XD

But yeah. Some of the drugs do have mind altering effects. Must have been a waaay dangerous dose, though.

Oh, my chemistry scribblins? I was seeing if there was something that could be added to a drink to see if contained any bad things. So far, there isn't really something you can add to a drink that reveals a carbonyl or halide group that is fit for human consumption >.<
But the methylene blue thing is still pretty cool. :P
