I have a new girl. She is Sarah, and not only knows most of the cool geeky crap I like, but is introducing me to MORE cool geeky crap. Teh awesomes.

My studies, having been delayed again, should be done with by the end of the coming year, unless I follow through on my half arsed idea of doing an extra year to hone my web skillZ.

My sister got married and is currently off honeymooning, to be back shortly before xmas. The bachelor party was over 12 hours of solid drinking, some betting on the ponies, and the obligatory slutshow. The wedding itself was beautiful, held in the gardens of an estate house turned local history museum with the reception at a nice restaurant they booked out. I would describe my sister in all her bridely glory but, other than making note of her huge (2-3 meter) train, words do no justice. Oh, I also have a sexy new suit obtained for the occasion. I look hot in it. Yes.

The share house I was living in all went to the dogs after one of my housemates turned out to be... unready for life, shall we say. This put stress on the other housemate and myself, which set us at eachothers throats. Thankfully, I wasnt listed on the bond, so I managaed to recover most of the money they both owed me by simply not paying rent until they arranged to pay me back. Well, that arrangement was never made, but the non payment left them in the poopshack (especially as their bond was paid by the housing trust who they'll now have to pay back), and left me only about 200 bucks behind. I do feel somewhat guilty about my part in the ugliness, and would feel moreso if it werent for the fact that despite my getting less money in than either of them, I was still the one left holding the bag when it came to paying bills and buying food. I still dont understand the mentality that says its ok to spend over 500 bucks on an interstate trip to see a concert when you already owe money to several different people. /bitter

My most recent obsession is with the Mighty Boosh.

And thats about all. Consider yourselves updated.
I got chocolate bubblegum!

I got my grade the other day as well. I pulled an A in the class. Not that it really matters since all I needed was a C to get the company to pay for the class (I'm allowed two C's overall, and they only get reimbursed after the degree is completed, but since that was my last class to complete my degree, it would have been reimbursed).

That gives me a 3.6 for my G.P.A for grad school.
All right, I’ve been thinking, when life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade! Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man whose gonna burn your house down – with the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!

sorry Hoopy, but that made no sense to me o.O

'part form that, I'm now a full-time substitute teacher in the city of Odense. Pay is wicked, 180,- an hour (aka 45 minutes), that's around $35 an hour, around $20 an hour after taxes. Bad part is, some fucktard stole my moped, so now I'm on bike. Decided to take a motorcycle license this spring and then buy a bike around April/May when I get the license. VROOMVROOM!

Oh yeah, and had a pretty nice Christmas with some excellent presents, good company ('cept a stressed-out mom who was edgy most of the time :/) and excellent food. I'll post pics of my new lamp when I find my camera.

Just be glad you don't live in the Netherlands. They'd steal your bike.

And to clarify my post, I took 10 courses for my masters degree but due to working full time was only taking one per term. Although, I graduated on the 15th, I didn't get my grade until a couple of days ago. (In theory, had I not passed the course, I wouldn't have actually graduated in spite of going through the ceremony.)

Me in Baghdad with the Bubblegum Gang!

That's an awesome picture. =) Kinda reminds me of the poor areas of Mexico from my vacations.
Will I get Night Owl points for quitting but not as much for getting fired?
Will I still be a member of the Owl's Pals? I'd hate to turn in my card. It's got a real owl feather under the lamination and everything.

Just flew in from Texas. I'm writing 'The Letter®' that will give me 500 Owl Points and turning it in tomorrow.

Had fun with the future in-laws. There's just a few that I can't stand but fortunately, the people I respect don't like them either so I'm on the side of Light and Goodness. Even our dog doesn't like them and she likes almost everyone. But like I tell Brug all the time... the South just rocks.

Dagnummit!

The owners are on vacation and won't be back until January 2nd, 2007.

There appears to be NO bonuses for anyone this year.

I thought some sort of bonus was guaranteed but the amount was the variable. eg. You get between $500 - $1500.00.

I looked again at my contract.

POTENTIAL bonus...

Well off to send the "I quit" letter while they're on their nice vacation. On the up side... I got a letter with 3 VERY complicated assignments and a sort of demand to get them done before January 2nd.

Interesting times...

There's always one person that's the black sheep in the family. Look around. If you don't see one... then it's YOU!

=)

Copied from some old joke I had.

Looks like someone already is "fdrinking" the eggnog and eating cookies at work.

Seriously... what are they going to do? Fire me? They COULD say bad things to me to potential employers even though they aren't supposed to but I suspect they won't want to anger someone with Internet Marketing skills... nunchuck skills, bow hunting skills...

I'll do my best to make sure people can take over fairly well when I'm gone. eg. Here's my files and the passwords but I'm not stressing to finish those assignments. I'm just going to try to find a nice balance of being helpful and nice and not stressing myself out to finish unreasonable assignments. eg. I want a brand new website up. Make it festive and fun.
