Behold the new starship Enterprise`

Really not sure about this one. Looks too much like they've tried to jam the Enterprise E into it and made it look too stiff as a result.

Some of the new cast photos did look good, but this is a bit harder to accept after 42 years.

Yeah, the main saucer needs to come forward, the two nacells need to be pulled back and made more elliptical.
I guess they were afraid they'd never fit it into a dry dock? >.>

I went to a special screening of the new Quantum of Solace Bond movie and the preview had the Star Trek trailer, I gotta say it's looking to be amazing.

To be honest, I don't care about minor ship stuff. Just make a good movie without shitting all over the past.

Or future for that matter.

Oh, I don't know...

First Contact was fantastic and Insurrection certainly had its moments.  Nemesis was a mixed bag, I'll agree, but overall it was still better than Generations so I'm not complaining too much.

I'm more curious about how they will reconcile that we now have technology which has surpassed some of the stuff used in the future.  Not to mention the fact that in a few cases the development of this technology happened as a direct result of geeks watching Star Trek.

How's that for a predestiny paradox?

Since this is still on the front page, I'll recycle it  - the new trailer was released earlier in the week.

Star Trek XI

Just go to the front page and it'll load up.

Hey....  That looks alright.

I'd say that they've absolutely nailed the casting for this one.  If the writing is up to spec, it could reinvigorate the series.  Looking forward to it.
