Okay, another Star Trek convention and another pic! Johnath Frakes was the featured guest for Sunday. And being in a wheelchair I got to sit up close to the stage for his 1 hour Q&A session. This guy was a riot! People were asking the usual questions, until he came over to me,HA! Not only starring in the TV Series & movies, he directed some. "First Contact" being the best Film he directed,IMO. I said this too him ,
"I have 2 questions." His reply was "Ok,Thanks for the warning!" (Audience laughing)
"My first question is as a director if you could choose any classic film to remake, what would it be?" He scratched his head and muttered, "Wow that is a tough one. Hmmmmmmmm, I honestly think if it were a classic I would love to do a remake of
To Kill a Mocking Bird, but if your thinking Science Fiction I'd love to make
When the Earth Stood Still, I loved that movie growing up."
So he started to walk away when I said , "Uh my second question." He spun around. "Would you take a picture with me, wearing my hat?" He turned and looked at crowd. They started cheering him on. So he comes over and takes off my hat and said,"Are you and Patrick Stewart related?" (Audience Roaring with laughter)
My attendant jumped up and took the picture, then he put my hat back on my head backwards and went back to the stage (Audience applauding)
BTW- If you can't see it very well, my hat says "RottZombie" Go figure,,,,,,,,,,
