We've solved all of our software problems!
« on: September 17, 2008, 10:40:36 PM »
No, not the bugs, we solved those yesterday.

Today we solved all our other problems... you know, customer satisfaction, development speed, QA, obsolete tools... all that stuff.

And you know how?

With one magic word!!!

Carpeting!

A certain boss I know (who shall remain nameless) turned down the option of moving into a swanky office in downtown Dallas because it "wasn't cost effective."

Instead she spent four times the difference to update this office, including walling off a bunch of space that we didn't use...

Keeping in mind that we rent this office, and that money is gone forever. Also, closing off like 25% of our office did not reduce our rent at all.

it without regard for its personal cost to you."
