Unwashed Village / Tatoo Pic Help

kinda random and i'm pretty sure i'm the only one that would ever want to even think about this.

my sister got engaged a few months ago and i've decided that i'm going embroider his and her hand towels for either the wedding present or a christmas present (they havent mentioned talking about dates yet). his name is eric so i'll be associating "eric the half-a-bee" (monty python) with his. my sister's name is lydia and i found a marx brother's song "lydia the tattooed lady" for her's. for eric's towel there's the obvious bee association but i'm having trouble finding a pattern that can sort of work for a tattoo picture that can be adapted to a cross stitch pattern. the muppets did a version of "tattoo lady" but the character they have covered in tattoos would be difficult to pull off on a towel.

to sum up: does anyone know of a cartoonish pic that i can adapt to a hand towel?

and not even because i had a huge hangover or got arrested or anything. really didnt drink much come to think of it.

most important shit of it: my laptop died. i've got a toshiba sattelite L35 from 2007 that i just updated to win 7 in early april.

i was going to watch a movie last week and it wouldnt recognize the dvd player, i restarted it. wouldnt boot at all or respond to f2 f12 or f8 or anything. now it wont even start. if i press f2 or something it'll go to what looks like a DOS screen but wont accept any commands or key strokes. i dont want to take it to geek squad or anything because they decided my sister needed a new mother board when her power cord was broken. i've tried taking out RAM, my hard drive and all the other basics i could think of.

does anyone have any suggestions, know what could be wrong or experienced something similar? or should i just suck it up and go to the geek squad?

I need to reinstall my OS and have decided to upgrade to Win7. Does anyone know of a price effective/efficient way to do this? I dont have a car and would love to get it all done this weekend.

does it look worth it?

wasnt much of an a-team fan and cant seem to decide if it'll be worth the theater. i'm worried that it'll be a typical american action movie but dont think i'll have enough of a starting base to compare it to the show. it's kinda looking like that will be a good thing.

Unwashed Village / firewall

so last night my firewall decided to expire without warning. i immediately was given note that i had roughly 30 viruses and to deal with said viruses i had to fork over cash. i've got vista, i'm not surprised. however, when i finally got the damn thing to let me see and attempt to process what sorts of viruses there were i found that there's a bank/credit thefting one that attached itself to ie. being microsoft the only way they're letting me reactivate is through ie.

does anyone know how i can force the program to tell me where the virus is located so i can at least get rid of it before i decide on reactivating the firewall?

so i'm watching disney's beauty and the beast. i know the concept is supposed to be that everyone who was on the castle grounds was turned into some sort of object relating to their profession. what happened to the utensils that were there before? are there infinate numbers of workers that have fused with the objects they work with, or have the workers turned into the objects and the inanimate objects gained some mobility?

be our guest is confusing me.

just curious. what sort of slang terms do you use that wouldnt be in your standard dictionary?

my friends and i tend to judge people on the eric and tim scales.
tim scale: how ugly is ____ on a scale of 1-tim (tim being about 63)
eric scale: eric is a friend who's a smart kid, but has absolutely no common sense. he would love to pull off the evil overlord thing, but is too much of a goodie too-shoes.

This topic does fall under a sensitive topic and i do realize that it might have to be removed or locked or whatever.

I'm taking a class entitled:The History of the English Language
for a research paper i have proposed that i research the origins of some of the commonly used slang terms for sex and all that goes with it. under ideal circumstances i wold like ten or so popular terms to look into so that i will have enough material in case a few words fall short of my expectations. the paper is supposed to be roughly 2000 words. to collect these terms i'm putting mini surveys up in various places and then compiling from there. i would like to have a mostly complete list by sunday, if at all possible.

the questions:
1. a few popular terms that you and your peers use
2. age and highest level of school (demographic purposes)
3. country/state where you are using said term


i do realize that the second two questions are concern information that some would rather not let others know about. i completely understand if you use some witty comment as opposed to the correct information. but if it's not witty i will have to hunt you down and get the correct information.

i appreciate any help you guys can give.
