Unwashed Village / Lonely Corner 2010
« on: February 14, 2010, 09:34:31 PM »
'Allo villagers new and old, fruit laden, insane or otherwise inspired. Has it been a year already? Yes it has. I know, I'm the one keeping track. Welcome to the Lonely Corner, the annual thread for pondering, musing and sharing of some subject that seems to be tangentally related to the day.

So much has occured since last we met, one might think another should have changed entierly in that period of time but that is hardly ever the case; things come and go, you grow up and out (of mind) and cultivate your inner self and friendships likewise, yet you remain you. Even if the self is transient it never really occurs to the self before it's too late, so to speak. But I'm not here to philosophise or ramble. Wait, actually I am. But let my ramblings cease all the same.

Friends, such a year it has been. I hope you are well, and i offer you this lonely corner for us to fill together.

I hardly ever post but I heartily support this proposition.

I know I don't really post much anymore and my posts such as they are are often vauge and fleeting.
All the same i visit and reminis, and share.
For this was always possible and appreciated.

It is almost frightful how many years have passed and how much has occured.
To much to mention to be sure.
I just wanted to say
Hello friends
I hope you are well

He posted annually, thanking his friends for their existance and remembrance. For the times they had shared in the past. How it was good to see everyone growing up, somehow, on the internet. And then he wished them all Good Game. For that is the foremost internet well wishing.

he departed again after a story of sorts.

Begining with a brick of lines, houses and lights what were his wonts.

Telling of flowering springtime,

and the icy chill of it.

Weird construction all around, progress for some.

But with a place set aside for relaxation.

And a tower for ailing.

Yes it was a place of colour and glee, he had taken you too.

And he would say the journey was swift and centered.

Altough skewed like a muddy reflection.

If you wished, you would have many means of escape. Like the new fangled glory of spaceship.

Or your trusty old bike.

But even the pavement seemed to glow in your presence.
And your host smiled.

For you wouldn't leave, not with this cultural elephant.

So you stayed a while, and listened.
You sat a while and smiled.
Through hours, years of lonesome travel
you had found yourself a home.
And though it has nothing to do with anything, it was

All for the memory of a girl.

Hello internet.

Another year has passed, with it's share of hardship and joy.
Another year has passed, filled to it's brim with it's excitements and sorrows.
We have loved and lost, fought and won.
The year saw marked change, in our world and in others (we sent some stuff into space after all)
And, as always, we endured.

For some it was harder than others. For some it was but a dance, or the best year of their life.
As for myself, i've learned a lot about love.

And love is what brings us here.
So today of all days
when commercialism hoisters the flag of Love high above all others
when hearts are shattered to tragic loss
when vows are bound and hugs are hugged.

I invite you to a lonely corner
So that we can be together.
Heres to heartache, friends. The only pain that bears reason.
Heres to friendship, the only ship worth sailing. (unless you are married to the sea)
Heres to Love, for all mankind.

I ask you all, Be well.
- The Patron Saint of the Lonely.

Unwashed Village / What is this?

I bet you didn't see this comming.

I admit; I can't get enough of trees. But that shouldn't stop us from going on an AldyDigiPicAdventure!

Let's go over to Headquaters and get some stuff for the road.

Mind the Isle of the Construction Gull, to your left.

And be sure to take in magnificence, as you pass it.

Yeah, it's just to good to be true. But thats the way of the world.

Hello? Are you there? keep up!

We are taking the road less traveled.

One akin to reflection.

But now I don't know where to go :(

maybe this talisman will help

It holds all the bleak secrets, the truth of death.

but really
all i want to say is

Thank you, all
I hope you are well.
and hugs

You're reality is warped

In truth, you are trapped

But there is a ladder to hope

a path less travelled, more desolate than you

that path is a rail

but it is a mere reflection

a blank

Altough truth be told I simply enjoy the seclusion

because i'm not some angry pedestrian

standing on the corner of hopeless and vain

because this is not the sunset boulevarde

and all the trucks

have crashed

and the harvest

all those magnificent trees

will be turned sharp; with factory perfection.

(But what does this mean?
i'm not sure you will ever get out
what with the last picture being sharpened in itself
through devious means
the others being experiments in crop jobs)

if i could give you a colour it would be the deepest purple
that of the secret field of stars
that i lay in in my minds embrace
when i gaze beyond

Unwashed Village / Annual Inivtation to the Lonely Corner

Hello wastelanders, unwashed and bungeed
It's that time of the year again, where I in possession of the title and responsibilities included in the office of the Patron Saint of the Lonely make a thread on Valentines in some sort of delicious irony.

But it isn't irony, really. It's a heartfelt attempt to get out there to everyone on this national (and sponsored, some would argue) observance of the phenomena of love - day.

So what can I offer you? Nothing, probably. Except the space needed for a thought. And an internet ear.

Lovers of the world, Rejoice.
And to all the lonely hearts
do not lament, do not fear
do not succumb to anguish

My advice is limited but sage
And also repeated, emphasized.
Get out there
never be afraid
Take care of yourselves.

Come with me to thumbnail land where pictures travel hand in hand
let us always be together

We take the trainz from north to west, through all 3333's
and end up in a salient place

where from another angle we adore it...

this painting that nature wrought, as primordial as sunshine
has nothing on the mailbox dream

nor the ray of twilight

simpy put i have a slice of sweden, to share to give and to enjo

argeh. Ow.
let us retreat to my colour fort

for it's holds the high ground!

And from that vantage point i mean not to impose on you, or anyone

but simply to ask: could you move your skylit mansion?

because, ssh:

i'm conducting industrial 'spionage!

on our commercial district

See all the signs and things? It must be very secret
to be so public!
but stormy says, it's time to go

and thats the story in balamory, that you've come to know.

Unwashed Village / Heyo, it's a thread!

Within wich two poems may be found.

There is a variety of grasshopper that
always frightens me
For from a well mannered, simple creature
spawns a hulk monstrosity

When mere seven years of draught have passed
and all the land is withered
of goes shell, and out from slumber
twice the size, with bloodlust

.. springs evil wings and lethal claws
not to mention never ceasing hunger
I speak of cource of natures plague
ravaging as LOCUST

and through the future your eyes sparkle incandescent
widen in loves gaze
juxtaposed to present
wherein gloom i graze

long i stumble, frought of heart
in ever present multitudes of mindset.
but hark thee the goal i've set
of "twinflame"; love souldeep.

push for morrow
though i may, nervous fruitlessly endevour
akin to fool, to jester, prince
set my mind forever

and on that path so rightly beaten
stumble forth i shall
vigilant, mindful, weary
longingly until

the way made clear
the veil then shattered,
as only truth may do
whereupon a swing i shall
spend eternity with you

Unwashed Village / Poetry, as Is my wont.

Far to long the time since last we parted
on kind words though with no realisation of
what would happen

no word does suit to describe
keine Wörter macht sich angemessen
it is not sorrow, longing or something more
perhaps a juxtaposition

and yet here i am a day later, a year
so many weeks of lifetime
with fragments left, a trace and a sliver
nothing else to remember

what i cannot say but do still feel
in only so many words
i miss you
wish you where here
it's been too long
since we parted.

I don't know. Have a picture.

I was speechless for a time, and still am. lara messaged me, but I didn't dare check the forums for fear of what it might say. Then a few days went passed.

Darkfox, I hardly knew you. We wern't very much alike, but there where a few aspects we shared; our like for stories and the absurd. You where always there, I will miss you.
