This probably sounds insanely daft but despite studying such poems for a year of my life, I'm not exactly sure what separates a poem from any other piece of writing. Is there a certain structure that you have to follow, like a sonnet?

Didn't realise that I didn't know until today, when I was copying one down.

Unwashed Village / Unwashed shirt
« on: November 21, 2015, 02:26:26 PM »
No, I'm not talking about the millions of screwed up shirts that at I have on my floor, I'm of course talking about Max Stone's Unwashed Villager's shirt.  :P

Finally ordered one with my paycheck, I was under theimpresson that it would have the UV logo on the back but apparently not :/

Got it in long sleeved varient since I don't have many gaming shirts for winter.

Unwashed Village / Character sharing thread
« on: November 12, 2015, 01:13:38 AM »
Thought it'd be fun to show off what we could do with Fallout 4's new face sculptor.

I'm sick of making Caucasian guys with brown hair (except for Fallout 2 where I was a Caucasian girl with black hair and Fallout: Tactics where I was a goth and Fallout: Project Brazil, if that counts), so I originally planned to make a Japanese woman but because there's no Japanese race preset, my character ended up looking like an abomination.

I ended up making an American woman of Japanese descent.

Unwashed Village / Now THIS is a desk ornament!
« on: June 11, 2015, 03:54:15 PM »
Well over a year ago, I sent of for Elder Scrolls Online's Imperial Edition and it finally came the other day. It's the main game that comes in a fancy ass tin case, with several vanity items, a leather bound lore book and a statue of Molag Bal.

If I ever get a job and end up as someone's boss, I'm putting this statue on my desk. I'm pretty sure that that would be a great thing for an employee to see after being summoned for 'a talk.'

I don't normally buy collector's editions except for franchises that I'm really into. I figured that I'd share this one. :P

Yep, you read that right, I woke up to that headline and had to rub my eyes but apparently Brian Fargo trademarked Van Buren about a year ago and considering that he's been on a crusade to revive Wasteland and Bard's tale? I can see this potentially happening...

This is pretty awesome, considering that this year people have Fallout 4 and Project Brazil to look forward to and now this?

Please let it be so...

Unwashed Village / Mad Max: Fury Road
« on: April 01, 2015, 10:05:42 AM »
I didn't know that they were making this but it's written by the same guy, so it's not like they've dumped it onto the hands of just anyone.

I'm not exactly sure what to make of it, production wise it looks okay, story wise I'm not so sure. Though, I'm sure that I'd be terrified if I was being hunted by the bastard child of Bane and Colonel Radec.

A lot of people have instantly reacted negatively towards it but I have a more wait and see attitude, it does seem to capture the spirit of the original in a number of instances and I'm amazed that so many people are shocked that Mel Gibson isn't going to be in it (at least not as Max).

Unwashed Village / Tonight we dine on PS2!
« on: March 24, 2015, 03:04:59 PM »
Here's a blast from the past, an old PlayStation 2 promo video from 2000-2002, I saw it in 2002 but it might have been out for a while, when I did see it.

In it, a guy goes to a restaurant to sample some of Sony's latest technology, prepared by the finest of chefs.

Yes, this video was the moon landing of my generation...

Unwashed Village / Can anyone help this guy find a girlfriend?
« on: September 26, 2013, 01:10:53 PM »
A blogger type who goes by the name "sleepless in Austin" is seaking a soul mate.

Well... one that meets the following requirements...

•“I will not date a Black girl. I don’t care if she looks like Halle Berry, I will not ever date a Black girl. And, I do not believe that Whites & Blacks should mix races sexually and have kids together. I think it’s ok for Whites & Hispanics. But not Blacks. I would NEVER, EVER, EVER date a woman if I found out she had EVER been sexually active with a Black man.”
 •“No one over 130lbs.”
•“I will not date any girl if she is still friends with any men that she has been intimate with in the past, I believe once a relationship with someone is over, it’s OVER.”
•“It dosen’t matter at all to me how big or small a girls breasts are. I prefer them to be real & natural though. I am against breast implants, I see that as unnecessery self mutilation, and I would not want a girlfriend that has breast implants.”
•“I prefer a woman that has never had children, because having kids does ruin a womans body often times. They end up with stretch marks. And also sometimes it makes their vagina looser, and I don’t care how many kegel exercises a woman does, after she has 2 or 3 eight to ten pound babies, you can’t tell me it’s going to be 100% as tight as it ever was! Plus, what’s even worse than all of that, is sometimes during childbirth the lips/vulva of a woman get torn and they never look the same as the did originally even after they heal, that’s why some women even get cosmetic reconstructive surgery to their vulvas after childbirth to try and regain their original appearance.”
•“I like girls that are thin, or with a toned or athletic build. A average build is fine too, just as long as you are not over weight. I will not date a overweight or fat girl.”
•“I like a girl that dresses on the conservative side. Not like a slut, and not anything weird. Just normal is fine. T-Shirt & Jeans are OK. But a girl in a dress really gets my heart racing! I also love it when a girl wears a mini skirt with boots, not cowboy boots, but sexy boots. Or high heels, I love spiked high heels!”
•“I do not like tattoos on a woman. If a woman already has tattoos, it may not be a deal breaker unless she plans to get more in the future. If a woman has something small and feminine like a butterfly or rose already on her ankle or something then it may not necessacerily [sic] be a dealbreaker. And it would also help if she would consider having them laser removed, something I might would even pay to have done for her. … To me, tattoos just represent white trash or somone [sic] that’s been in prison.”
•“I also do not like piercings on a woman. I do not like a woman to have anything pireced other than her Ears. If she has other piercings it’s not a dealbreaker as long as she removes them and never wears them again.”
•I do not like strippers! I will not date any girl that has ever been a stripper. “
•“I will not date any girl that has ever had a threesome, or a large number of past sexual partners. I do not want a promiscuous slut, I want a normal, decent, good hearted girlfriend.”
•“I do not like glasses on a girl. Although, it’s not a dealbreaker, as long as she can wear contacts at least most of the time.”

Unwashed Village / Fallout: Lanius
« on: September 17, 2013, 07:55:40 PM »
I found this awesome fan film today, telling the story of Legate Lanius from New Vegas.
Quite well made and in my view it does a good job of portraying the legion.

Unwashed Village / Mad Max: The video game
« on: July 15, 2013, 06:56:32 PM »
They are currently making a Mad Max video game as seen here.
It looks pretty good from this pre-rendered trailer (but most games do).
I think it's going to be similar to Uncharted and The Last of us, which I haven't gotten around to playing yet so no spoilers!

Unwashed Village / You knew this day was coming...
« on: July 04, 2013, 12:11:12 PM »
The morning begins like any independence day; the village is foggy and desolate with the only ambience coming from the creaks and clunks of spambots running through the streets.

The fog begins to clear as a ship docks at the harbour, the ship is a Viking longship with the British flag painted across its sails and the ship holds an army of chavs armed with cricket bats and bicycle chains.

The crudely equipped army begin to storm the beach...

"Today is the day that we take Americaland back!" Their leader cries from the stocks.
