Its good to see that research is progressing in these critical areas. Imagine a world in which those questions went unanswered? Its hardly bears thinking about.

Your beer bubble link is 7 years old, though.

And homebrewers have known for a while why beer goes skunky. Though, any improvement to make it last longer is always a plus.

My link is NOT 7 years old; the article on BBC was 7 years old.  I can't help it they recycle important feature articles on the for the Common Good. 

And actually, BBC does that a lot (about my only criticism of their online news).  You have to be pretty careful about checking the dates on something you are reading.

But in the Village case, we probably need to revisit older articles as some villagers only wake up about once every seven years.

(Yes, I know, the most common are 13 and 17 year cycles.)

And... do you know why the cycle times are so odd?   Because... since they are both prime numbers, the chance that they will both erupt in the same year is very very small!  (less competition)
