Forcibly occupying another country shouldn't be comfortable...
I know I'm late on this, and I know it's usually good form to just ignore off-topic things with which you don't agree, but come on man.
< rant >
I don't agree with the war either, but you can't read that without admitting that was a douche thing to say. I'm not going to argue the point, but jeez, man. You might as well just tell anyone on the board who's over there, or any of their family to fuck themselves. Or, just say nothing.
< /rant>
Either way, I'm totally down with sending a tiny toaster. Too bad we can't have tangerines air-dropped on the bases. At least without taking a lot of fire.

I have his address if anyone would like it.

He's a young man that's separated from his family and a box of stuff would do him and his friends a bit of good. Knowing Rama/Carib, he'll probably share some of the stuff with the kids in the area.

I know he would like: Orbitz, Cashews (plain or honey roasted), Cookies of the Oreo Variety (double cream would be the best)
Will I get Night Owl points for quitting but not as much for getting fired?
Will I still be a member of the Owl's Pals? I'd hate to turn in my card. It's got a real owl feather under the lamination and everything.

Night Owl: Oh, indeed. I quit many a job ...better than being fired. You can keep your card... in fact, you get double points for quitting!

While it would be cool for us to all bundle our stuff together in one big package, it probably makes more sense for each of us to individually send items.  Doomsie has a great list as all of those items are compact and will ship easily.

Maybe I'll just add a pic of a toaster.

Dooms, could I send you some dough? American prices are like, less than half of Danish, so wiring you money = more stuff for Carib.

Sure if you like. Just let me know what you would like to send him and worry about the money later.

Yeah and at the end it doesn't matter since it ends up in the same place.

I know he would like: Orbitz

He wants plane tickets?  Well, sure, I guess I would, too, if I was over there...

Trying to tie what I said to some further, poorly written and much more extreme statement of yours is a plainly fallacious way of making a point.  Rather a "douche thing" to do - in your vernacular.

Congratulations, I care even less about what you have to say now.

Or gum. Preferably the gum that makes you fly.

Just to let you know.

I got the Uno cards, having trouble getting honey roasted cashews (Bless you), getting the playing cards tomorrow.

The 'package' was sent on Friday (July 11).  I'm curious to see how long it takes to get there.

Contains some of the stuff requested (plain cashews, not honeyed; cookies; batteries) and some 'surprise' stuff (magazines. eye wash).  No snuff, sorry.  Oh... and a toaster.  Sort of...

Cookie up!

Wow... my box filled up fast. It's going out in tomorrow's mail. No Double Stuffed Oreos but I got a few surprises. =) I didn't get to send any hygiene products so if someone else wants to consider that.

If anyone can't send him items due to cost, I'm sure a postcard would be welcomed. He'd probably like seeing a post card from your city. The total cost should be under $2:00. I have his address if anyone would like it.

Thanks!
