Oh, fresh meat! :D

I can see what you're saying, I do think that the Gizmo being the better future for the Junktown would've been a more interesting approach. Dragon Age: Origins did something like this with the Dwarves, where there are two potential kings and the more ruthless one proves to be the better king and lives longer as a result.

I still pick the other one, because I hate the ruthless guy. :P

I feel that honest hearts is more about Joshua than the Dead Horses, it's about the effect that the war has on him, than on the land. The White Legs follow their leader and as a result, Joshua's dealings with him seals his fate as to what kind of man he'll be from there on.

Unwashed Village / I'm disappointed...

It's been a few months and no Soul Calibur VI hype? What happened to you guys? You used to be cool! :<

I'm actually quite optimistic for it, despite how disappointed I was with V. Though I do admit, I appreciate it a lot more than I did, when it first came out. If the gameplay is as good as SC V but has the many features of SC III, then I'll be super happy! ^.^

I was kind of looking forward to seeing where the future would take us but I do miss the old roster dearly and don't ind returning to them. I was hoping that SC VI would give us Patrokalus' death, given that I hate him so much. Maybe I can kill Sophitia before the events of Soul Calibur I and prevent the little brat from ever existing!  >:D

Hoping that Voldo is good for our resident Voldo player.

(Also, holy sheet! It's just occurred to me that the last Soul Calibur game came out, the first time I started actively posting on this board!)

Unwashed Village / Re: What's going on in your life?

Last night, I had a truly magical moment. My best friend of five years seemed really off and down. I asked if it was to do with the fact that I had gotten into the start of a relationship and she said that it was.

It was kind of nerve wrecking, asking this, no matter how sure I am or how careful I am with my language. I then asked if she wasn't happy about me being in a relationship, because she had feelings for me.

Turns out, she did.

As I said, she has been like family to me for years, so seeing her that way wasn't much of a step up. Though she lives in Scotland, so the relationship is very long distance, I've never felt more sure of anything in my life.

Hopefully, we can close the gap in time...

So, I'm afraid that I'll be banned from the lonely corner.

I'm glad that things are going so well for everyone. :D

I've been hooked on Crusader Kings 2.

You'd think after chopping off a guy's arms, legs, penis and then proceeding to slice his nose off and then plucking out one of his eyes... you'd think that he'd finally get the message that plotting to kill your son isn't the smartest of ideas.

I should've killed him at this point but in all honesty, I kept him around as a work of art. I figured I'd wheel him out, whenever the in-laws came over.

The Vault houses a large, underground dome. In it is a perfect model 50s village, where the residents live. They've received a number of memory altering drugs to make them forget their past lives and live in a never changing, cultural wasteland.

The experiment determines what effects cultural stagnation has on a populace of any size as well as isolation in a more realistic environment. Any attempt at escape would result in all residents being apprehended and rendered unconscious, prompting them to awake, the next day in their beds.

It would be like the perfect combination of The Prisoner and Pleasantville.

I'd honestly never thought about that before!

I like the rude robots idea, but you gotta flesh it out more!  Can the people get what they need by sucking up to the computers?  Can they get what they need by standing up to the computers?  Inquiring minds want to know!

The robots were just assholes, some less so than others. The robots didn't exactly run the place, they were meant to assist, like any robot but be unhelpful and surly. Some of the robots with big egos could possibly be sucked up to or some respected those with backbones but most of them just had pathological demand avoidance.

I remember the Vault Tech Workshop Add-on for FO4 let you do something similar to this. Did anyone mess around with that?

This wasn't exactly the case, they gave you some equipment, like exercise machines and you could alter with the settings to more or less make the Dwellers lives miserable.

Whatever you did though, had no real impact on the game.

I mean, the base experiment in itself at this point. :P

I love these so far!

I also thought that it would be cool to have one where the Vault part was a monitoring station and the rest of the Vault was a recreated old world town (kind of like the VR experiment in Vault 112). It would be a mix of the Prisoner and Pleasantville, where the residents had to live in a 50s-esque town for all eternity and any form of cultural progression would be stamped out immediately. The experiment would monitor the long term effects of sever cultural stagnation.

Unwashed Village / Vault Tec experiment ideas

Hmmm, here's a fun one.
Has anyone ever had an idea for a Vault experiment?

I always wanted a Vault that had a lot of robots that were designed to be as rude and unhelpful as possible.

Unwashed Village / Re: Best Premade Character for Fallout?

I love Narg, because of his brilliant name and face.

It'd be great, making him a porn star, the posters would be mind blowing.

Okay, I'm easily amused, I admit it.

I managed it, me, Marcus, Sulik, Goris and Cass managed to while him out! 😁

I killed him without saying a word to him.

Then I went and beat up LO PAN, I'm officially out of quests.

71
Prepare yourself Horrigan! You're about to face the wrath of spinning Jenny!

I think I will have to decide which companions I want with me. Somehow I don't want to put too much faith into Myron's seduction skills.

72
I've realised that my problem is having a crap build and being at level 20. Thus, I've decided to go on a long journey, a road trip to all the settlements, taking up every quest, upgrading my crappy gear as best I can.

Seems to be doing okay, going to beat Lo Pan up, star in a few sex tapes and then I'll be ready to crush Horrigan!  :D

73
It's helpful but it doesn't do much, when you get pasted by a single gun turret. :S

I've found that your best bet is having the high science skill and turning the turrets on Horrigan, then using those guys as cannon fodder (for the two or less turns that they'll last) until your party are ready to take him down.

Of course, Horrigan won't expect the ace up my sleeve...

Vic's Pipe-Rifle!

Been playing through F2 again and after helping a bunch of scruffy ruffians kill a spammer, committing rat regicide and getting thrown out of Vault City, I reached the Enclave Oil Rig.

I can't believe the stuff you have to do to get anywhere, assassinating the President of the United States is the easy part of it and once you've dealt with that, you have to take on Frank Horrigan and his merry band of gun turrets. :S

Looks like it's back to grinding for me. T.T

We need a Caesar to cross the irradiated Rubicon and  hoard all the tangerines and get support for their leadership. Who needs qualifications these days?

He who controls the tangerines controls the village? Bastardized Dune quote?

I think you mean booze, he who controls the booze controls the village. :P
