I'm thinking that we're all probably ingenious enough to figure out how to raise money from other people rather than digging into our own pockets.

So here's my idea:

We send an email to everyone in the world (OK, already, I'll restrict it to just those who actually have email addresses).

In the email we'll say something like this:

"My poor cousin's brother's son-in-laws foster daughter's nephew is dying of leukemia so if you send money, we will send you $5 billion dollars from Nigeria along with a Huge Penis Growth pill (note: not a Huge Pill but a Huge... um, you know...).  At same time, you can invest in the following stocks (list all the UV stocks here); an additional $5 billion dollars can be made by adding your name and address to the bottom of the list as long as you send ONLY $500 million dollars to (insert my name here).  If you want Gingsu knives, that will be $19.95 extra."

After 200 times you'll have enough to give to the village.
