I've been told its not available on DVD and only tape. This is a tragedy, but I must own said tape. My poor Sky recording has seen too much love.
Dost thou know'st where I may retrieve said item?

Tricky.  All my usual sources (ezydvd, dvdcrave, fbo and shopferret) returned no hits whatsoever.

Atlantic DVD claim to have it on DVD.  It might be worth checking them out first though. (I'd never heard of them before)  *edit:  They seem to be based in Adelaide, so they shouldn't be too hard to sus out*

Ninemsn Shopping is selling it, but Amazon have it as out of stock.

Other than that, a video rental place, Trash Video seem to have two copies for hire.  Or you can try ebay.

Depends on what exactly you are doing. If you're on the treadmill then Against the Wind is a great running song. My personal preference when walking or running is to start with a slower songs, build up to faster songs and then come down with slower songs again.

Absolutely.  I find when I'm cycling for an hour straight, if I don't inject a few slower songs, the hard core ones seem watered down.  But listening to Gunners right after two Blondie songs, really gets you moving again.  It's impossible for a mere mortal such as myself to stay at 100% for an hour.  A few periods of lower intensity really let you hit those peaks between.

My current workout playlist includes (amongst others):

K's Choice - Not An Addict (for my warm up)
Cold Chisel - Khe Sanh, and Bow River
ACDC - You Shook Me All Night Long
Bon Jovi - Hey God, and One Wild Night
Blondie - Call Me, and Heart of Glass
Chumbawumba - Tubthumping
Guns 'n' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle, Sweet Child 'O Mine, and Paradise City
Bachman Turner Overdrive - You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet
Gary Jules - Mad World (cool down)

It's just about time to change it around a bit, so I think I'll drop off the Blondie and Alanis Morrisette, and add in some Midnight Oil, Screaming Jets, The Living End, and maybe some Angels.

If I may quote Hercules Returns.

That movie had me in STITCHES!!!  A few "cringe" moments, but overall it is a classic.

omg everyone must go see stardust. best fantasy movie i've seen in a lonnnnnnnng time. i daresay i enjoyed it more than lord of the rings (i know). it's fabulous, and a terrific date movie.

I heard a favourable comparison somewhere between Stardust and The Princess Bride (which just happens to be my all-time favourite movie), so I'm cautiously optimistic about this one.

Cool... I always kinda liked Wraith.  He had talent that guy.  I remember some of the stories he used to post, and epics he contributed to.  And I'm sure I passed Shiny (SD) in the hall as I most recently re-entered the Village.  I'll have to chase up Ymir and Varag... I haven't spoken to either of them for a few months.

Just the nature of the board, I suppose.  The actual population seems to be mostly fluid.  Except for you, of course, Doomsie... You're always here!  :)

Ok... It's working now.

After much thought, it occurs to me that I am constitutionally incapable of being flattering without being inappropriately sexist.  So, with that in mind I would just like to say, Fish, you're a total babe!  ;)

The photos are great, and do what all wedding photos should, namely, portray:

  • The bride as a glowing goddess,
  • The groom as a helpless bystander,
  • The bridesmaids as tempting seductresses, and
  • The groomsmen as drunken debauchers.

Good job Fish.

But its... like... almost the teens! (Tens? One-Ohs? What ARE we gonna call it?)

Teenies?

It's been like that for a VERY long time. =/

Still... it's better than the early days when the number of Females totaled to a grand number of two!

What happened to Buffy, btw?

Or, for that matter, what happened to Red or CC? (I know CC had the accident, but she recovered, didn't she?)

Hey! I just thought of something!
If Bubonic is onto something (and usually he is)

I think you misspelt "on"

Quote
Then suspended or banned accounts could be "Shot in the back by Ian"

Nice idea!

you're like a prodigal son... you are not one? are you a daughter in disguise?

a prodigal daughter doesnt sound good unless you are a girl.... are you lieing to us?

No, no, no... It's metaphoric.  What he's really saying is that... Oh, wait.  He said he's "like" a prodigal son... That would make it a simile.

You're right.  He's lying.

Including suggestions posted above, I like

Tangerine Target
Wanderer
Villager
Village Elder
Board-Reliant (stroke of genius 'Zon)

in that order.

The only movie that I've seen recently that is worth mentioning was The Rage In Placid Lake.  It's a typical, quirky, low budget Aussie flick.  It is essentially a teenage angst story that highlights the complete ineptitude of the parents involved.  I wasn't really expecting much (Aussie movies tend to be a real hit-or-miss affair) but this one surprised me.  Maybe some residual angst from my own teenage years may have something to do with it, but I really enjoyed it.

I've been mildly disappointed in the major cinematic releases of late (transformers, 300, Ghost Rider, etc).  I attribute this to some actual quality writing for TV over the last 5 years or so.  West Wing, Sopranos, Battlestar Galactica, Dr Who (Tennant even beats Tom Baker imho), Weeds, and now Torchwood.  I was also completely smitten by Heroes, however, I wouldn't put it in quite the same class as the others I've mentioned here.  Oh, and I'm a complete sucker for the totally forumulaic House and NCIS (Abbey appeals to the most basic of male instincts in me).

Ummmm.... What was I saying again? Oh, that's right.... I haven't been watching many movies lately because I've been trying to keep at least a month ahead of Australian TV's ridiculously lethargic broadcasting schedule for these shows (we only saw the final episode of West Wing in April this year).  So, kudos to TV for raising expectations.

Tie a bra around a pillow and put some oranges in the cups.

...

...

Not that I ever....

did that...

My question is where, as a single guy, are you comming by a bra?  Are you the bloke who steals your neighbour's unmentionables off their clothes line or do you just endure the damning stares of the K-mart checkout staff?

Blind Fury, I think it was called.

LOL...  Gotta love Dolf.
