:worried: :worried: I saw the news last night and there are horrible floods in Queensland, Australia. Last I knew, Ymir and Charlie live there. I pray they all check in soon. From what I saw on the news, it made Katrina look like water slide world.
-
I had a few friends evacuated from there, I hope Ymir, Swash, and any of our ozzy members are ok and safe.
If I hear from any of them I'll post on here, but this was the only real way I contacted any of them.
-
I just heard from Ymir. He and Charlie and the girls are safe. He said it is horrible there right now. Thank God they live on a ridge. I just pray that Simon and our other Ozzy members are ok as well.
-
Yeah, Ymir is one of my friends on facebook. I've been tracking his statuses and his family is doing fine.
But the news reports have definitely been scary.
-
Bubonic's doing okay as well.
-
I think Swash once mentioned something about being in New Zealand and I hear that's a full plane ride away.

Interestingly enough, it is also an empty plane ride away as well.

Whew that's a relief, I was concerned with several other online oz friends (all ok thank goodness) That I didn't even think of Ymir and Charlie, (sorry guys) but very glad to hear they are ok.

Banango was also in Brisbane last I heard.

Hi all, I'm clear of the floods for now - I live in Victoria, as does Varag I'm pretty sure.
I've been off in Tasmania for a couple of weeks on holiday with my family. They had floods in the north there just a couple of days after we'd headed south, then the road we had to drive along on our way back north was washed out - the surface of the road at one section actually got picked up and moved about 10 metres downstream, so we were a little worried we'd be stranded, but it all worked out ok.
The whole time we were there, we were hearing reports about north Victoria flooding too, but the rivers that are flooding aren't the ones that go through our town. Things all look normal here.

Glad you're ok Swash. I was worried about you guys over there. I"m very worried about Simon though. He isn't answering emails, and thats very ulike him. :( :worried:

I found him.:)

apparently he made the news.

Are you sure that's the right Simon? The article said he moved from Edinburgh two years ago...

Simon has bounced around for a couple of years now. My last contact with him, he was in Brisbane...and he did say something about making the move b/c of a girl. The name is the same and the age is right. What are the odds that it's a different Simon?
-
Wow! Some very familiar names here. As Swash said, we are in Victoria and were spared the worst of the floods, although fire fighters from my area were deployed up to the affected areas to assist the recovery.

I was? Thats funny, because I dont rmember ever living in Brisbane. :o

Actually that is very like me these days unfortunately :/ I havent had my own internet for ages.

Seriously, where is all this "brisbane"ness coming from? And since when do I do things because of girls? *beginning to think I may have a doppleganger*
To set the record straight, I live, and always have lived, in Adelaide. Which incidentally, is the driest state.
Oh, and thank you for your concern all. Very sorry I caused a bit o fretting
-
With age comes confusion. Just ask BC.
I knew you lived in Adelaide b/c I checked the letter you sent me, but I could have sworn you said something about moving to Brisbane. BTW- Good catch:) Neener!
