That's fantastic! I love being a Briton. I was aware of the Killing a scotsman in York law- I think there is a similar one for welshmen too- and I knew about the preggers womem law. The rest is new to me, but although I think they're stupid I'm not surprised they exist!

I know suicide was illegal in some places.

Some places in the US listed it as a felony but had no punishment.

eg. Well they broke the law... but we won't punish the dead.

Our last government entered parliament to kill people (in iraq/Afghanistan) and nobody batted an eyelid.

Six states still have laws against it (though, no punishment). The only one in the Bible Belt is Oklahoma.
