Anyone know anything about lasik?

I think I'm going to pay some guy a couple grand to slice my eyes open in the DC area pretty soon and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it.

one of my aunts had it done long enough ago that i dont remember ever actually seeing her with glasses. i'm assuming that it means that there's at least one thumbs up in there.

Well... here's what I remember from an article.

"When we interviewed the people who were unsatisfied with their Lasik, we discovered most had unrealistic expectations about their Lasik procedure."

So the satisfaction rate was in the mid to high 90s. Then some of the complainers could be voided because there was nothing done wrong with the surgery.

Seems like a pretty save and somewhat reliable technology.

An aunt of mine had it done a few years ago; She said she was satisfied, but still needs glasses for reading. As long as you take the risks into account you should be fine.
