I forget. Did I direct you to a roadside hamburger stand for a Taro Burger?
I was just reviewing my old posts from when I was there, and it's funny you should ask. I don't know if I ate a taro burger, but it was a good burger. Except, you know, not a Goodburger.
I loves the archived forums.

First, let me just say one thing about this place. Sexy Waitresses Ahoy! I went to one restaurant last night where I had not one, but two pretty ladies whose only job was too come to our table in unison and fill up my Coke! I'm coming back here alone next summer, it's too embarassing to flirt with girls when you have your Grandma sitting there at the table. (She's great thoguh, she payed for this whole trip and she's paying my way through college, so let's hear it for her people!) Seriously, the island girls here easily win my vote for being some of the planet's most gorgeous women. Now that that's said and done. Today I toured the wet part of the island, as oppesed to the other half which is desert.
I ate at a little drive-in called Ono-Burger, which is SO GOOD it's known all over the island as having the best burgers, even with two Burger Kings also being here. To give you an idea of how small this place is, imagine a toll booth full of burgers and that's Ono Burger. And apparently it's so good that celebrities have eaten there. Everyone from Gene Hackman, and Steven Tyler to that guy who played the bad guy in the Mortal Kombat movie has eaten there and left autographed pictures. This is largely due to the fact that they've filmed many movies here at least in part including scenes from Mortal Kombat, Jurassic Park, and the opening scene from Fantasy Island where Tattoo yells "The Plane Boss, the plane!" I also heard about this beach whose name I can't pronounce that is inhabited entirely by "hippies". I know that's an archaic term, but that's about the most accurate one I can come up with. Rumor has it that the place is a self-ran community where they live off the land, at least that's what one of the pretty island girls told me at the orientation today. So, in conclusion lest me stress the key points of my day. Ono-Burger, Pretty Island Girls, Hippie Drug Beach. Having a great time, hopefully I'll have some pictures to post when I return to dreary dark and rainy Washington. sad.gif One last thing, I have to once more stress how friendly the people here are. They treat you like they've known you forever. Even the bartenders are nicer than you'd expect. In Washington, minors aren't usually allowed in bars even if they aren't drinking. When I was at the restaurnat across from the condo getting something called Opakapake, I was warmly welcomed and given all the virgin drinks I could hold. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Any questions? Feel free to ask.
