The downfall of the Village: A Theory
« on: September 01, 2011, 08:01:47 PM »
I think I've solved it; the reason for the downward spiral of Village Participation is because the all of the wenches have absconded!  Or been absconded!  Obvious, when you think about it, eh?

OK, sure, we've had a few nibblings and patterings and munchings by a couple of wenches but this is a very rare event these days.

The mystery is: wha' happened??

Some theories:

1.  Night Owl finally perfected his Wench Potion, and they are all now subservient slaves in his mini-castle where they ply him with beer and pretzels.

2.  The stench in the Bastard Bar finally overcome their olfactory defenses, and they all went home to find jobs with Google and/or Facebook.

3.  The specter of the previous event of the Execution of All Females (hey, I was just trying to right a few minor wrongs!) has returned, and the wenches are hiding in dark tiny corners throughout the land.

4.  They were lured away by the Dark Side of Humanity (good looks, charisma, and money, all of which are sadly lacking in Bastard Bar Regulars).

5.  The Vestibule imploded, and thus the Gathering Spell was broken, allowing the wenches to flee.

So the solution is simple: we just figure out the cause, and then apply the remedy: voila!  Wenches return!

I'd drink to that.

Speaking of which, anyone heard from Sweetpea, Zon, or Goldfish? I'd have asked after Lara too but she posted here so I know she's okay.

This sounds like a job for Scooby Doo!

Now, we need some old, but seemingly innocent man to dress up as a ghost zombie vampire.. Also, a can of tuna, a 17 minute old zucchini and a original 1991 Geo Metro.

Lara!

How's it going? The poshest Brummie in existence would like to say (in his best Leslie Phillips voice and well-tailored lounge suit) "Well Hel-oooo-ooo-ooo-o"

As for more wenches, I would suggest we advertise.

Oh, and I have an Evil Plan. One so EVIL and CUNNING it will knock your socks off. All I need for it is Sarah Millican, twelve kilos of chocolate mousse, some hair curlers, a recording of "Ernie" by Benny Hill, a DNA sample from Jack Herer, eight crates of Marston's Strong Pale Ale, and a double lamb tikka kebab with mint sauce, onions, and tomatoes.
I am thinking of changing my title to "He who must only be mentioned in passing".

I thing I know why everything is collapsing here.
It took me a year to get a result, but ...
When you'd find out, it's crystal clear.

It's was because :

p=hn²λ.Δh
      2π

Where p is the collapsing action, and h, n, π and λ are boring stuff.

Right under my eyes since the begining ...

Wait!  That doesn't work...

But... but... what if π = 1, and h.Δh goes to zero over time!

*whew, that was close; nice save!*

Welcome! (So admit it, you saved and wanted to see what happened if you killed the UV in the random encounter, didn't you? It's okay, we've all done it.)
All right, I’ve been thinking, when life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade! Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man whose gonna burn your house down – with the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!

Hell, I did it when I didn't intend to kill them...I was trying to help kill the spammer, missed and hit Buffy.  Anybody who's frequented a forum knows if you attack a known female, even if it was unintentional, you'll have to face the wrath of the All.

In my case I think one of my followers hit a UV'er and all hell broke lose.

I think it was Night Owl that took the hit. If not, I'm going to say it was anyway.
