Is anyone else Using Google Chrome?
« on: February 16, 2011, 02:38:46 AM »
Some odd issues that the open intarnets have no idea how to fix.  I seem to have lost the ability to scroll with a mouse wheel in chrome as well as its inability to show the emoticons for messages in the Village.  Any ideas or personal experiences?

Nope. Still using Firefox.

(Yeah, I'm sooooo last decade.)
All right, I’ve been thinking, when life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade! Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man whose gonna burn your house down – with the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!

I like Firefox, though it had problems of its own.  I decided on picking up this slick new browser.  Its fast as hell but it has its quirks.

I think that's a Village specific problem; Firefox hasn't been showing emoticons here in the Village forums for me at all since the last server move, or somewhere thereabouts. (Just checked, IE doesn't show emoticons either).

Not sure about your other problem, but you could try asking BlueCross, he seems to have lots of luck finding people who can't answer the questions he's asking, as well...  ;-)
LISTER: Look, I don't want any toast, and he doesn't want any toast.  In fact, no one around here wants any toast. Not now, not ever. NO TOAST.
TOASTER: How 'bout a muffin?
LISTER: OR muffins!  OR muffins!  We don't LIKE muffins 'round here!  We want no muffins, no toast, no teacakes, no buns, baps, baguettes or bagels, no croissants, no crumpets, no pancakes, no potato cakes and no hot-cross buns and DEFINITELY no smegging flapjacks!
TOASTER: Aah, so you're a waffle man!

I was using Firefox, switched to Chrome, and then after two days, went back to Firefox.
