Thanks! =)

I waaaaaanna move now!

It's just sitting there waiting for us to love it. =/

This will be the longest 45 day wait ever. Did I mention there's a massage training center nearby where I can get body massages for cheap?
Will I get Night Owl points for quitting but not as much for getting fired?
Will I still be a member of the Owl's Pals? I'd hate to turn in my card. It's got a real owl feather under the lamination and everything.

Night Owl: Oh, indeed. I quit many a job ...better than being fired. You can keep your card... in fact, you get double points for quitting!

Well at least they aren't free so you know BC isn't working there.  ;)

It must be that time of year again. I got a notice yesterday for an appearance in court, for support. It's a warrant review, which means, they will make me wait 1 hr. 1/2 , just to go before the judge and say, "Yes, I want my $33,000 back child support." I have to jump through all the hoops and make sure I've done my research, b/c if the county lawyer had to actually put out some energy making calls, we might just make some headway! 10 mf'ing years waiting for him to pay support and all they keep telling me is "M'am we know where he lives, but we can't get him to come out of his house." WTF? These ppl are stupid if they expect me to believe that my ex hasn't come out of his house in over a year. His wife always says he's not home. Well, d'uh! Of course she's gonna lie, b/c her husband has to come up with $30,000 or go to jail. Personally, I wish I knew Dog the Bounty Hunter at times like these, and usually I can't stand that guy. lol! My ex is afraid of biker types.
Add to that, we got the news that my mother-in-law has been moved to a nursing home. :( My sister-in-law has let up on her b.s. and has even started talking to her brother  and me ,finally, after 11 yrs.. It's still all a mess, with a lot of the siblings thinking they're putting their mark on what belongings of their mothers they can have, or they feel they are entitled to. My poor husband is just pissed off that some of his brothers and sisters are that friggin petty and uncaring.
My Mom isn't doing so hot in Arkanasas, so I'm worried about her too. My Dad just lost his sight in one eye, so he is limited as to what he can do as well. I'm torn between moving to help take care of my parents, and staying here, so my husband can be with his Mom. I hate this double edged sword shit.:(
No matter how much you push the envelope, it will still be stationary.

My mom had to raise me basically without any help from my dad in that area. She'd go to court and then he'd pay a little then stop again. This was 30ish years ago and you'd think by now they'd have improved the system to make sure deadbeats support their kids.

Sorry to hear about the other family stuff. I hope things improve soon.

My computer at home is dead.

It's been powering up for a bit and then stopping. It's like the image on the screen is frozen. eg. I can see things but I can't move anything. Sometimes I'll get graphical scrambled on my screen. eg. One part of the image shows up on another part of the screen.

Now it won't show anything on the screen.

Blah... I just needed it to run for another three months.

This means I'm going to have trouble doing art and writing assignments and looking for work in Vegas.

Curse you Richar... uh Dell!

Will I get Night Owl points for quitting but not as much for getting fired?
Will I still be a member of the Owl's Pals? I'd hate to turn in my card. It's got a real owl feather under the lamination and everything.

Ok, the computer is coming back for either hours or minutes at a time. Using Opera seemed to increase the duration of it's uptime. I wonder why.

I wasn't sure if it was getting over heated somehow. When we had the fan on it, it lasted longer. Yet it's freezing over here in SD. The temps all the way down to 62. Brrr

So I have the case open and a turbo fan blowing right into it along with it's normal fan.

Let's see what happens. =/

FYI both ATI and Nvidia have programs you can use that will monitor the temp of both your CPU and GPU. I'm not sure if you have to have one of their cards for it to work or not though.

I always had something of a twisted love affair with the freezethrower.  I don't see it along the fence there, though.

Most low-end (and older) cards do not have the necessary chip/hardware/whatever to monitor the card temp.  For example, my ATI X1300 does not have it.
