Anyone reserve a copy of Fallout 3 yet?
« on: July 09, 2008, 05:18:46 AM »
I just did yesterday, and it came with spiffy poster (YAY! everyone one loves good ol' T-51b power armor  ;D)

Also included was a sound track CD with 5 songs ( "I dont want to set the world on fire": Ink spots, "Way back home": Bob Crosby, "Butcher Pete(Part 1): Roy Brown, And the main title song, and the theme for megaton!) the disk is even made to look like and old vinyl record, and has a complmenting paper sleeve thats says "Distrubuted by Galaxy News Radio"

In short.....its freaking awesome.

You got something in the mail? :stunned:
Will I get Night Owl points for quitting but not as much for getting fired?
Will I still be a member of the Owl's Pals? I'd hate to turn in my card. It's got a real owl feather under the lamination and everything.

I've the 360 and PC versions collectors edition reserved. The survival edition isn't available in Europe anywhere as far as I can tell as it's seemingly only open to Amazon.com shoppers in the US. And from what I've been told by a few people they won't ship it overseas.

I'm sure I'll pick it up but not right at release. Spore and Warhammer will be occupying most of my time around then.

Reserving a box of disappointment seems a bit masochistic.

Yikes!! The survival edition is $129 at Amazon. The collector's edition (with the lunchbox, book, bobblehead, etc) is $79, meaning the extra $50 gets you the pipboy clock. I'm usually all over these special editions for games that I really like, but that's just a bit steep. I'll stick with the collector's edition, thank you very much.

Yeah, I almost didn't buy that but I "convinced" myself that I was helping ensure Fallout 4 by generating more profits. It was just enough to get me to buy it. =)

Yeah, but changing the setting to downtown San Francisco in the early 90s kind of killed it for me.

The random events usually involve stumbling upon a parade where people fawn over you because you look like Mad Max. Oh, and they made Dogmeat a poodle.
