Cinderella Man - finally saw this
« on: May 12, 2008, 06:06:04 AM »
I was quite surprised. It was actually quite good IMO.

It's the movie about Jim Braddock the depression era boxer that stars Russell Crow and Renée Zellweger. Not a big fan of Renée's but she did ok in it. It was mostly interesting because of the story of this guy's life rather than being a "boxing" movie like Rocky. They spent a significant amount of time in the ring and especially so towards the end but the main thing was that Braddock was a very interesting person. That made the movie worth seeing. Got it saved on Tivo and will probably watch bits and pieces again for a few days.

"When planning a new picture we don't think of grown ups and we don't think of children but just of that fine, clean, unspoiled spot down deep in every one of us that maybe the world has made us forget and that maybe our pictures can help recall." - Walt Disney

hahah, it's definitely not a fucking boxing movie- even though they spent a lot of time in the ring towards the end, it's only to make the audience constantly terrified on behalf of the wife

I fall and I leap and
I'm freaking out
Nowhere near my place and I
Know that they've seen me now
