Dang, Judge Hoop wins.

The only costume I was ever proud of was me as Casey Jones and my wife as April O'Neil. Unfortunately all the kids at the haunted house we were working were too young to remember TMNT. That was before the weird CG reboot.

I ... am... old.

Last year I went as the guy from the game Operation. I even had a light up nose (taken from a clown-kit) and a buzzer (wired up myself with two AA batteries, a push button, and a door buzzer). I used a pair of barbecue tongs as the forceps. I had the body parts attached with those little craft velcro squares that are glue on one side and velcro on the other. The body parts were cut out of those foam rubber sheets you get from craft stores. For the "ankle bone connected to the shin bone" part, I used two pieces of a wooden dowel and epoxied them to outfit. The outfit was a pair of white sweatpants and T-shirt died pink.

Needless to say, it was fun being single and on a pub crawl with an outfit like that. I remember at some point some guy remarked that I was only allowing women to play the game. I looked him slightly bemused with a bit of askance thrown in, paused, and then said "Duh".
All right, I’ve been thinking, when life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade! Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man whose gonna burn your house down – with the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!

Some people just aren't smart :P

This brings up an interesting point.  I just lost out in a poker tournament because the guy I was playing with was stupid.  No one in their right mind would have stayed after I went 'all in'.  But he did.  Because he 'felt it'.  And then drew the jack he needed to beat me.

So I'm thinking that I would have done better if I just assume that most people are idiots.

Weird, eh?

Poker is a bit of an equaliser, though.
I mean, I've stayed in for a pot, even going all in on a possible straight draw. It was just me and some other dude, who had two pair. The final card turned and BAM! Flush.
For me. Didn't even see it coming XD
Had it not turned, I would have had queen high >.>

My reasons for betting so long? I thought he was bluffing <.<

Luck plays a nice part in poker, so idiots can win now and again. It makes it half fair :P

Stupidity and bravery are often interchangeable.

Yes, one often defines the other :D

I define Sysman as...

Brave!

I think a similar line can be drawn between ignorance and idealism.

Maybe more like ... I guess stubbornness and idealism.

But in poker, the nature of the game is psychological warfare. Making everyone else think you're stupid or brave makes you win.

Actually being brave, like Sysman did, I think ends up paying off.

If you're lucky. Like me XD

That being said, in a friendly game of poker, I have lost everything on the first hand as well >.<

In a no limit game, you need to 'choose wisely'.
