For the record, I was totally kidding. Gaming will be a part of my life presumably for a long time, marriage won't really change that because my partner will accept the things i'm passionate about. But I do think and hope that when I settle down, that I'll find meaning in other things and playing games will have less significance. In a way I've been getting slightly bored of gaming lately anyway.

It's "masturbate". Masterbate makes me think of someone who's really skilled at holding their breath.

Binding of Issac: Rebirth. I've always liked roguelikes, they're like if you combined a D&D dungeon and let a computer AI go LARPING. Its not really a roguelike, but about the closest that most people can enjoy.

Finished Dark Souls 3. I basically hate the game, and never want to play the series again. Not because its hard, but because its frustrating for bad reasons. Sad to say that, because some parts were actually fun.

Theres a few games I feel I need to play soon too. Deus EX: Mankind Divided, Zelda: Breath of Wild, DOOM.

Boy, life is really going to suck when I get married and have kids and a career.

I fucking saw that too! And I about lost my shit when she said "If the election had been held on October 27, I'd be your president" The arrogance of that fucking woman! Even if Comey had influenced enough people past the tipping point to cost her the election, theres no way to fucking prove things would be different. She's not some inter-dimensional time traveler. Its just a rather pathetic coping mechanism to justify what she was overly confident would happen, but didn't.

 My dad always used to say "don't use shoulda/coulda/woulda and just accept the results of your actions". Instead of admitting "Our message wasn't very good, and my campaign focused too narrowly on population centers. Trump obviously had more support across broader areas." its blaming Russia, Comey, and now even the DNC. Its pretty scary, and i'm thankful things happened the way they did. I earnestly think the election results may have been influenced by God, and what was meant to happen did.

Thats not an argument as to what he's done thats bad. I doubt he will ever be impeached, he's smart enough to flirt with the line without giving enough justification to actually be impeached.

The WH website is far from the only website to be behind in updates. Plus, it says "...when the data becomes available from the Administration." Maybe it hasn't become available yet because its only been 5 months?

I'm pretty happy with how things have gone so far, and the more time goes by the more I don't see how the election could have gone any other way. Like last week when Clinton said "If the election had been on October 27th I would be your President". The arrogance of her.

I can't stand most political comedians on TV. Many of them use groupthink tactics to push liberal propaganda. Edit: Not to say that conservative commentators aren't just as guilty

   This week I finish the last of my college coursework, for my Bachelors in International Business. The graduation is this Sunday, which I won't be attending (partly because I don't care, partly because its Mother's Day). College has been a long journey for me. Originally, I went to school for Architecture, not really prepared for the intensity or demands. I had never drafted before, haha. The long, lonely nights working in our studio, which was an old supposedly-haunted mansion (http://info.umkc.edu/unews/campus-history-epperson-house/) are times I'll never forget. Moving to another city helped me grow socially and be more responsible. Leaving was a tough heartbreaking decision, I don't like to give up on things, but I wasn't cut for it. I remember it clearly. It was move out day, I had already dropped my major, but was planning to stay at the school. I went to the bookstore to sell my books, ran into my ex (who I still loved and respected) and chatted for a while. I decided that was a sign not to return. I went back and cleared my room, told roommate I was not coming back, and left with a friend.

   I surprised my parents with an "I'm staying!". I took almost 3 years off, working some crappy jobs, knowing I would finish at some point. Eventually, I went to community college for a semester and pretty much hated it. I came to my current University (where my mother also graduated from) in Fall of 2014. I choose my major because I saw that almost everything sold in the U.S. was made in China, shipped across the world, and I wanted to know why and how (and how to stop it). I can't stay I liked my University much but i'm glad to be done. MBA is a consideration only if my employer will help pay the cost, and I know if it will leader to promotions.

   If anyone reading this is about to start college, here's what I have to say. Make it quick and intensive. Get done in 4 or 5 years (Summer school is great. Also CC sucks don't go) even if you change your major, which many people do. Get involved, meet many people and don't work a job unless you have to. Wander the campus. Consider the culture, it will hugely influence the attitudes of staff and students. Your early 20s are a special time when you have responsibilities but can make mistakes; Use this time to further your education and grow yourself. If all you care about is getting a job afterwards, go to a trade school. I think college is supposed to show you that life can be more than "work, eat, sleep die" which is worth the money. Good luck.

Yooka Laylee and Dark Souls 3

How you liking Yooka Laylee?

Its not awful, but disappointing. I'm a big fan of the first two BK games (especially Tooie) and Yooka Laylee's biggest problem so far is that the levels are HUGE but confusing. There's little indication of what to do or where to go, and its easy to get lost which can make it a little boring. The game has a lot of new characters, a few are great, but most don't make sense. Its not as polished as the older games, but I still recommend playing it if you like them. The humor is still good, and it does some things differently which I can appreciate. I'm about halfway through right now.

Congrats on the published book! I will try to buy a copy at some point.

After nearly 2 years at Starbucks, I put in my resignation. I've only quit a few jobs, but I've never once regretted it. I had been there longer than anyone else, was working mostly with bratty young women who didn't listen to me, saw organizational problems that were never addressed, and had a good friend (who I met at work) die of a heart attack, and I was ready to leave. I don't have a job lined up yet, so my boss was begging me to stay. Probably not the wisest thing, but I don't care. I'm ready for something new & fresh whatever that may be.

Should be getting my bachelors degree in May in International Business. I would like to get into import/export eventually.

I plan to move to Seattle, WA, at the end of the Summer. I have never been west of Kansas, so this should be interesting. I just want to see the Pacific Ocean and real mountains.

Taking a trip to Chicago and Minneapolis next month for a few days vacation.

I had been wanting to to play the Secret of Monkey Island games for roughly a decade but there were 2 problems: 1. They were very difficult to find illegally, and expensive legally because the series is from the early-mid 90s 2. The first 2 were designed for DOS so they have to be emulated on modern computers

Luckily, they recently remastered the first 2 for xbox 360 and released them for free (only) last month so I have been playing those. These games are hilarious!

Its amazing to me how, despite the internet making communication quicker and easier, many adult jobs still require people to go through so many formalities and hoops to simply apply for a position. Most of the time, they make you sign up on their website (Another fucking set of usernames and passwords to keep track of, I can't wait until everything is biometric) and go through a dozen pages of inputs, often giving personal information like your address and SSN to a company you barely know. This usually takes close to an hour, if you have to write a cover letter or resume, then its even longer.

Like, I get it it that a large beaurocratic company needs a system of tracking applicants, but it feels like such a holdover from the 80's where things were a lot less competitive and if you met the minimum qualifications you could be considered. Maybe thats not really how things were, but its hard to argue that we don't live in a more competitive world today. Young people today are used to switching jobs every few years, used to wearing hats not part of our job description, and used to no job being secure long term. We can't spend an hour applying for jobs these days, because we know that securing a job is a numbers game, and truthfully there are 200 applicants for 4 open positions.

If jobs were quicker and easier to apply for, I think a lot more people would being doing jobs they enjoy and would be productive at. Somewhat shamefully, I've gotten most of my jobs from craigslist, including my current one which I've been at for 2 years (keep in mind though, that I had to email them 4 times before hearing back) While most jobs on CL are unpaid and often shitty, the site is pretty great for finding jobs fast and easily. I enjoy searching on CL more than other job sites because its easy to see: 1. Who you can email directly, or who you have to go through their external website 2. How far away they are 3. Based on the Ad, how professional they are 4. What your expected job duties will be. 5. How immediately they want to position filled.

Not so easy to see are how likely they are to rip you off and what they pay (Protip: its usually low for anything non technical) but I wish everything were this easy. I wish that companies stopped treating applicants like employees, and expecting us to do so much grunt admin work when they haven't show any interest in us at all. For professional jobs I could understand, but most entry level jobs do this and its frustrating, part of the reason people have trouble getting those jobs.
