*mandatory barrage of citrus fruit*

Welcome!

Ahem.. I pretty much stopped playing Fallout 4 after the main quest was completed. I chose to side with the Minute Men, and after discovering all buildable sites, I lost interest in the generic quests. For my part, they might as well have left out all the random quests as they add nothing to the experience.

I did find some enjoyment in just running around and exploring a bit, but there is little challenge in combat after playing most of the game, so that only took me a few hours until I got bored of that. I hope the DLC will provide some more content.

If not, I still haven't played any of the FO3 or F:NV DLC yet.

I don't remember NV being littered with bugs, at least not to the degree that most people have said. I remember someone telling me that NV was so bad, that it was unplayable and it baffled me completely, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that was just the 'cool' thing to say at the time.

I think the console versions suffered a bit from what I've heard. I played it on PC on launch, and can't say that I remember encountering any serious bugs. Personally, I blame Sony and Microsoft's patch policy (devs have to pay extra to release patches for their games).

I'm not sure how to explain this, but hey - it's Fallout :D

I don't think it was terribly good, as it gets bogged down with micro management as soon as the Vault grows to a certain size. I stopped playing once I reached the population cap at 200.

It does feel like some gameplay is there that could work longer term, but this game did not manage to capture it.

Before Fallout 3 was revealed, I was hoping for an isometric strategy game like Van Buren. After playing New Vegas, I'm not sure that style of play will work with the masses, but I'd sure as hell like to see Van Buren released in a more finished form than the tech demo that was leaked.

Been playing Cities: Skylines, Evolve and Shadow of Mordor. All 3 are good games in their own way. Just barely got my feet wet on Evolve though.

I started a new job last monday. Been with AVEVA (UK company) for nearly 8 years, so it felt a bit strange. But now I can cross being headhunted off my bucket list. So far the new job is awesome.

To pass the time I've been making mods for Left 4 Dead, I've added a UV easter egg to one of them, so I hope to increase traffic here. :)

Oooh ooh.. Which one(s)? I love that game - are they available from the Steam Workshop? Gimme links, man!

Can confirm, Bastard Café is in Copenhagen (Denmark for all you Americans whom we all know are terrible at geography outside of their own state ;) )

Well done, you crazy Swedish person, you!

Glad to see you're still around from time to time. Your pictures feed my guilty conscience - I'm not getting outside enough and not using my DSLR enough.

Heh. Just yesterday I had the pleasure of booting my Macbook into Safe Mode on Windows 8.1. Not very easy, it seems. Apparently, if you can boot into normal mode, you can just hold down shift while restarting, but in my case, I was not able to boot into the desktop.

Anyway, I share your pain. The good news: Windows 10 is shaping up to be quite nice. Just installed it on a machine for a friend, and it boots from dead cold to desktop in less than 5 seconds.

As none of you have noticed, the forum has been down for half of the day due to our ISP shutting us down due to spammer attacks.

E.A.R.L. has been installed, and the main exhaust port blocked by X-Wing debris.
