have you tried looking for a pin up girl picture you could make into a pattern?  Just pick a simple pose and add whatever tattoo you want.

“It’s all the rage in home design!” The guy on stage insists to the crowd, waving a green stone dog around. They all ignore him, though he doesn’t care. A waste of potential life for a cheque; he is after all the head of the family. His blue shirt is stained on the collar, and I like him. The stain makes him personable. I cross his name off my list and walk away, being equally ignored.  Pulling the black hood over my face a grab my scythe from the wall it’s leaning against and move on to the next appointment.

Unwashed Village / Lets write!
« on: December 01, 2009, 05:40:24 AM »
So after not completing yet another Nanowrimo...I've decided to turn my talents to writing 100 words!

I figured someone here may want to try with me! I urge every one of you to give it a go! :D

*nods*

---------------------------------------------
Write a story in only 100 words.

This one I found is a bit different, in that they want you to have 10 words they chose somewhere in your story. It was interesting to try, I thought. So I figured I would share!

So now you try!

100 words and inlude these:
family - life - stage - rage - design - blue - black - green - stain - dog

Oh, that is who you are! :D

Hi!

I think I killed the thread...I really feel like a boob now.

does this mean you'd creep out Acids lesbian friend?

my daughter has a few words that are her own made up words. We know what they mean of course, as family.  Occasionally for fun I'll use them myself. :D

I boo  <--- I am thirsty
I boo boo <--- I am hungry

Unwashed Village / Re: I'm bored, so, theme songs!
« on: November 23, 2009, 08:42:32 PM »
Hmm, I have always wished that I had a theme song.

I think it's awesomely wonderful that you do that, Than. And now I shall imagine you - say, on a busy street filled with daytime shoppers - walking along minding your own business.  When out of the corner of your eye you spot a pretty gal!  You then break off into a musical like song and dance, but no one around you seems to notice or care, and of course you dance around the pretty girl in question, psyching yourself up to talk to her but again, cause it's a musical, the gal doesn't notice to until you break out of song and say hi in a speaking voice.

Yeah, *nods* that is how I shall see it any time you mention a new gal. :D

For myself, I do not have a song that is a theme song for anything. But I do have two poems I say to myself, almost mantra style - when I am stressed, in pain, or scared.

Winken, Blinken and Nod seems to be the one that I say over and over in my mind when I am stressed or in pain. (example - sitting in the dentist chair getting a cavity filled)

The Raven is one I recite to myself when I am bored, scared, or simply need to distract my mind from over thinking a situation.  (I started this one when I was 12 and had to walk a mile to the road to catch the bus. It was pitch black outside and we lived in the middle of the wilderness in Alaska)

Well, the woman I love at the moment is deeply in love with a man who's almost twice my age with a degenerative terminal illness. So basically I'm just doing the Finger Pyramid of Evil Contemplation while going, "Soooooon, my love...Soooooon,,,".

*blinks*

....

*blinks*

is this a joke?

Very cool Than, I always enjoy hearing about your love life, you've a way of talking about it that makes everything optimistic.  It is refreshing.

For myself, I am taking a break from writing 50,000 words and have been looking for random 100 word writing contests.  This one seemed interesting enough to try....

Can you Write a story in exactly 100 Words??? Not 99 and not 101, but 100???
Now can you write that story without repeating any words? Only one "A" only one "the", only one "of", you get the catch now?

I went with this choice of topic:
You are a fish and you see the worm dangling on the invisible hook, you bite and are caught. Describe in 100 unique human words the feelings reeling through your head as you are jerked out of the water.

I call my story: Teen Fish

:)

“Holy effing hell!” Mom was correct. Who knew?

“Rule number one,” she would say to me in that nagging voice, “worms do not magically suspend.”

This had been so enticing though.  At least I shall be gone for the “told you!”

Whoever assumed fish have no feelings is a complete moron.  Looking death in an eye, dragging through water, fighting against that stupid hook!  Scarier then any horror movie made.

Out of air now.

Being pulled from my wet and comforting world below.

Gills working futilely.

“You were right!” Last words, an apology of sorts for a wasted life.

Cool. I think I added you Doom!

I was excited about doing Nano this year...up until a week ago. Now I feel depressed and I am pretty certain it will be a waste of time to even try.  *thinks* Of course, I am also at my most hormonal week of the month at the moment and have learned to ignore most of my feelings during this time.

Pretty sure I am going with my Dragon Mountain story, but I never completely know what I am going to do till the 1st.  Although I did write out a rough story line already, so I might run with this one after all.

Unwashed Village / Re: proposals
« on: October 21, 2009, 03:24:38 PM »
...how did it actually happen?

Mine was not romantic. We were pregnant, and one day while driving into town and he turned to me and said 'So do you think we should get married?' and I said 'Yeah, I guess so'  Of course here we are 16 years later, so I guess it worked.

Anyone who would complain about that Mario proposal doesn't get what romance is.

I think anything where there is forethought put into it and fits the gals personality is romantic. (if she doesn't play Mario this specific one probably would have been a waste of time) But obviously this gal did...so spot on for a romance star.  *gives the dude a sticker*
