Did you bring it back? We've had nothing to tie the horses to, they just drag the tangerines around when we hitch them to those.

The situation is horrible for so many and we have been touched by it on my wife's side but I'm mostly living the dream just now, I don't need to travel further the living room to get to work, I live in one of the best paces for fresh food in Scotland and people are happy to deliver anything from Buffalo to Fruit and veg then to Lobster.  This situation is actually looking to be where my job is heading, Marie wants to go back to Uni to take a midwifery course but schools are likely to go back two days a week with three days of home schooling so this working pattern would be perfect for us.

FO79 being playable might help sate some of the very slight social yearnings I have, my generation and the ones that came after are probably the best suited for this isolated life, I think I could still sink a few days in to CivII.

Just thought I'd get in and say it sometime before April, glad I beat the rush.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and new year!

Don’t you hate it when you’re a bottle deep in to a Southern comfort binge and all you can think to say is “I love you guys?”

Clearly the subtext here is that i’m Undoubtedly drunk but my perspective has matured, right?

Comparative investenent strategies anyone? Willing to fight you!

A vault with novelty board games that look really interesting but really really aren't and millions of mislabelled VHS tapes, all mislabelled and mostly early 80's Russian cooking shows. The interesting ones all lose sound and or tracking at vital plot points.  There's a Betamax labeled "GECK location and instructions" but no Betamax player, so starts a quest for a video repair shop.

Unwashed Village / Re: Best Premade Character for Fallout?
« on: November 03, 2017, 01:29:52 PM »
Not to be overly picky but Narg was a Fallout 2 character.

I tend to go with creating my own character.

I've tried to play the evil character but I just end up being wracked with guilt.

There have been many but the real life altering, defining moments of my life have been when I've became a father, you realise from that point on life is about being equal to the amazing privilege and responsibility in your life, falling short of that can be soul crushing.

If we had a leader we'd have forgotten who it was already, well within five minutes of deciding  who said leader was.

Family, work and life generally tends to make the bungee cord excessively slack but it does still exert a bit of a pull; we get a good number of old members popping in every so often but there isn't really enough activity to keep people here. The UV is on my list of sites I check every few days but I can go weeks.

We have plans to saw ourselves away then fill the hole with oil so we can have a proper frying pit. We're going to need a tonnes of flour and millions of eggs for the batter.

Unwashed Village / Re: What games have you been playing latly?
« on: March 02, 2017, 09:35:18 AM »
Fallout 3! I'm playing with a couple of mods to add weather, a little more vegetation and a mod to remove the green tinge, I added the mods mid way through playing and they've made the whole game seem a lot better.  I see there's a mod to add original Fallout weapons in, that's my next stop.

It also helps that I'm playing on a machine way more powerful than my old Core 2 Duo and 8800GT combo, for as good as that machine was it wasn't quite up for ultra with visual enhancements.

Unwashed Village / Re: Write something!
« on: February 04, 2017, 07:11:37 PM »
Did you mean to post that in this thread?

My biggest issue is with HR departments that don't actually understand what the job entails so they write terrible job specs and the managers reviewing the CV's get a whole load of applicants that don't actually meet their criteria.  The thing that compounds this is clueless recruitment consultants, I get this one on two sides; consultants email me with clients who don't fit job roles I would have a hand in filling and they also still email me personally with offers that seem like they've kind of skimmed my CV and matched some of the words to the job specs.

It's pretty rare for the people in large organisations who would actually be managing an individual to manage the advertising and direct communication with agencies.
