Its Winter
-
Only based on the calendar. I subscribe to the meteorological definition of winter which means it began 21 days ago.
The U.S. is actually one of the few countries that uses the solstice/equinox to delineate seasons.
-
Britain does the same and as a kid it was incredibly confusing. I mean, I used to want to say...
"Listen, asshole, it's been pissing it down and freezing for well over a month now, I call that winter!"
-
Apart from the rain and wind it's actually fairly warm here, somewhere around 17c, I'm not quite buying this winter or Christmas thing.
-
I think we can all agree that Xmas and Winter sucks, and that all UV wenches are hot.
-
I had a criminally warm winter :(
I bitch a lot about snow, but now I miss it.

Come to the Midwest of the U.S. We're having freezing rain mixed with snow right now in Chicago, and other parts of the Midwest are probably having similarly shitty weather.

Lol I am Midwest, but it was a Warm Christmas and this current storm will probably melt within a few days of it ending. Just like the one we had I think a few weeks ago.

I'm 7ish hours north of you. The ski hall of fame is 20 minutes away. Olympians come to train in our snow. I think you've gotten more snow this winter than we have. (Though we have a winter storm advisery quoting 4-10" right now, 2" last night)

Its been a really mild winter in St. Louis (and most of the country I guess). Almost no snow accumulation, and most days it feels like early March outside.
The Holiday season may be over, but winters not. I had to work on Christmas morning at Starbucks, which was shitty and surprisingly busy. I was seriously getting angry at the amount of families coming in, and thought "whos fucking idea was it to bring your family to Starbucks on christmas morning!?".
I do enjoy the stillness of it all though.
