Just trying to keep everyone who's doing it PUMPED about the rapidly approaching start to the month of teh wr1t3z0r.   I'm fuckin' stoked, man. 

Honestly I don't think this is going to be hard at all; since all the writing I've been doing lately has been for class and applications, I think I'm going to fly when I'm just writing for myself.  I mean, I do intend to rewrite and submit to agents/publishers afterwards, but the knowledge that it's just a first draft and the goal is quantity over quality- I mean, damn.  It's just like Christmas morning!

So!  This will be updated and added to and possibly a new thread started over the next couple of days as we kick off NaNoWriMo 2007.  YOU CAN'T BACK OUT NOW OR I GET YOUR SOUL SAKLF ASDKLMNFASLdfasmndklnrk32lASFDASR#@$@#

this is going to be a challenge for me. i've got two papers due, one next week that i havent started and one that's gonna be a long process of hell and then a group project that is even more hell.

I ok with the English. Sure they're a little pale and a bit stand offish like the glowing ghouls in Fallout but once you give them water... or water with a tea bag in it, they'll be your best friend.

Also, Sys, the idea is that you use NaNoWriMo to encourage yourself to write with an artificial deadline.  It's not like someone is going to cut my nuts off if I don't hit 50,000 words (OR ARE THEY!?)

At the most basic level it's no different from telling yourself, "Tomorrow I am going to force myself to sit down and write at least 5 pages!"  You just raise that to the n^th power and add a sense of community.  Still, you know, suit yourself.

I say since the site is vomiting on itself out of fear of the millions of logins every day, we get a thread pinned here to keep each other on track, post word counts at the close of each writing day, etc.

Also I have to pick a region. Does it matter which I pick or is that just for demographics purposes?

Yeah, I shot Hoop a message about that, tomorrow morning at around 7 AM (eastern time [US & Canada]- what is that, GMC -5:00?) I'm gonna make an official NaNoWriMo thread that I asked him to pin.  I'm really into the spirit of nanowrimo and I figure that since you're not supposed to start writing until the month official starts, the thread shouldn't start until then either.

Also, I'm crazy.
