Your gaming rig! (bragging time, because it's been too long)

I've just ordered parts for my new gaming rig and thought back to the times that other people have started these kinds of threads.  It occurred to me that it's been quite a while, so everybody's probably running completely different things from what they did back then.

My new machine will have a pair of GTX660's in SLI with 16GB of RAM and one of those new i7 3930K processors.  It's been 5 years since I upgraded, and that was to a few steps below the latest then.  I figured it's time for a proper upgrade.

Wow! Nice rig! Don't expect much response the way things are, but i'll give you my two cents.

Honestly, my gamin' PC is an old clunker I got for free after my laptop (which was faster) died several months ago.
Specs are as follows:
Pentium 4 HT 3.0Ghz
1 Gig Ram (THATS ONE THOUSAND TWENTY FOUR WHOLE MEGABYTES ZOMG!)
Geforce 6200 (Suprisingly, this is the first computer I've ever owned with a dedicated videocard)
160GB HDD
17" Dell monitor

Seriously, this thing can *barely* chug through WoW on the lowest settings but it plays classics and emulators just fine which is all I really care about anyway.  I will probably build a new rig sometime, but there hasn't been many games in the last few years to give me reason enough to do so.

Anyway, post some pictures of your battle-station when you set it up!

I was devastated when I found out that my PC cannot run Terraria... the sales man lied to me and told me that it would work on windows 98!

I use my 2010 macbook to play games on.  My PC is an AMD x2 4200, Radeon HD6570, 2gb ram but that sits under the TV.

Both are enough to play FO3 and NV so I'm pretty happy, I'm looking to upgrade the TV computer to an i3 3225 with 4gb ram, that should play FO3 etc well to if I want it to but with far less power draw and heat.

im running a pentium E5500  Dual core at 2.8ghz along with 8 gigs of ram on Windows 7 and a Radeon HD 6850.... Not exactly cutting edge but heck, it plays what I want.

Nice choices for the rig. Any comments on SLi is working out for you, or did you get both cards immediately?

Not exactly a gaming rig, but i thought id show this off anyway.

I bought this bad boy, a nearly 7 year old Thinkpad T60, for $75 the other day! Its worth twice that much, is in great condition, and is pretty friggin sweet as anyone whos owned a Thinkpad would know. Its also my fastest computer.

In addition to my gaming rig which I built with my girlfriend a bit under two years ago (which I posted the details of somewhere around here a while back), I can also sing the praises of Thinkpad, since I have one...sort of.

When IBM got out of the laptop business, they sold the intellectual property to Lenovo. I have a Lenovo laptop that I got from Newegg for $650 last spring. It's only an i5, but it came with 6GB ram and a dedicated video card. The only complaint is that its a bit heavy, but other than that, there is no better laptop for the price.

Yeah, my model was the first model made by Lenovo, but they kept the "IBM Thinkpad" logo for a couple of years, as you can see in the bottom right of the picture (presumably for name recognition). Although it says "A product of Lenovo" on the boot screen lol.

Thanks. Hard to believe I was once pushing 230 on my 6' 1.75" frame back in the end of 2003, and I probably had about 10 lbs less muscle then as well.

It took me just under a year and a half to get to a healthy place.
