I don't think it made pregnancy cool at all.  In fact, the first part of the movie was kind of sad.

However, Ellen Paige is incredibly cool so I suspect that some may connect the dots incorrectly.

It's up for an Oscar for best picture! Crazy. I LOVE Michael Cera, but haven't seen the movie yet. Glad you enjoyed it - means it isn't just another hipster movie. :)

It cannot be said that I was notably disappointed with this movie, my expectations were fairly low going in.  Diablo Cody certainly isn't getting any more of my money.

I don't have what you might call "high standards" when I watch movies, I try to get my money's worth and check my cynical a-hole side at the door (note the word TRY... not always possible).

That being said, Juno was a great movie. A lot of people have praised the acting but I think the writing is really good too, the characters are drawn in such a way that their bizarre characteristics are very strong and obvious, but they never feel like completely fabricated characters. I'd say it's like a Wes Anderson movie, except that people don't all act like they're on some form of lithium.

Just because you like pickles doesn't mean you have to eat one.
