What is this thing called?
« on: March 20, 2008, 07:14:09 PM »
My Dad used to make 'hollow' furniture to store stuff (household items I think or perhaps books from the firemen?)

I'm thinking of either building or buying something that looks like a seat but it's hollow. eg. You can take the top off and put stuff in there. What's the name of this type of item? I'm not using it for our main furniture since it may interfere with the comfort but I would like a footstool and perhaps a couch for the game room to have it.
Will I get Night Owl points for quitting but not as much for getting fired?
Will I still be a member of the Owl's Pals? I'd hate to turn in my card. It's got a real owl feather under the lamination and everything.

Night Owl: Oh, indeed. I quit many a job ...better than being fired. You can keep your card... in fact, you get double points for quitting!

Sounds like an ottoman, which is essentially a seat with no back or arms, but not all of them are hollow.

Yep! Sounds like what I'm looking for. Thanks!

That looks scarily... implodable.

One of my friends built himself something like that. Fantastic piece of furniture if made right :)
