I was given the Big Pointy Stick (first mistake!) so I could poke it in the Nasty Spamser's eyes when they misbehaved!  (insert *muhahahaaahaahaaahaaa...*)

So when the little banning menu popped up, it asked me if I wanted to delete all posts and topics by this guy.  (insert second *muhahahaaahahaaa...*)

So I did!  (second mistake).

But it deletes even topics that the guy posted in, not just the ones he started!!  *raises fist against ban gods...*

So good-bye Gaimon post.... :(

In your defense, I didn't know it would do that either. Fortunately, I never had to delete accounts of any spammers who posted in legitimate topics.

Incidentally, that "delete user and posts at the same time" thing is how I've been handling spammers too.  I just haven't been unlucky enough to have a spammer that had posted in existing threads.  So it's a good heads up for me to be careful in those cases myself.

I see.. I would also like to apologize for any threads I might have deleted then.

Meh.. some day we should delete all the spammer accounts (without deleting threads)

Also, some day I should bring back the kittens..
