Yeah, in fact a lot of doctors tell their patients not to worry about it because they will die of something else WAAAY before they ever have any problems and the course of treatment would cause a lot of complications. I mean when their patients are like 78. So did they have to take the whole prostate or were they able to just take the tumor?

And they also do biopsies on selected tissues while you are still under the knife so in case they have to remove other stuff, they can do so (relatively) easily. But all that stuff was negative. They are about 99%+ that it had not spread beyond the prostate.
And true... if I was like 80-85, I would have just said 'screw it'.

Anyway, since I am still so young *cough-cough*, it seemed a reasonable decision, and in hind-sight, it seems even more than reasonable now.
