Unwashed Village / Re: My response to the Health Care reform victory

But "Hot Tub Time Machine" got made.

I have lost all faith in our political leaders.

I like it - it's a HUGE step in the right direction.

No one bill is going to satisfy everyone or everything. There comes a point where something needs to be done - I applaud something finally getting done. The rules regarding no limits and pre-existing conditions are biggies.

It made me cringe when right after it, the friggen abortion debate starts. To hear some people talk, you'd almost think this bill forced everyone to get multiple abortions or something.

It's worse than you think.  Since the bill passed, you have already had two abortions yourself!

THAT'S what that was.... and I thought it was gas or something.

Let's see, what's going on here... we're going on another cruise in May - this time to Bermuda. We have found that we like cruising quite a bit - great way to vacation. I'm never driving anywhere, and the drinks are good (decent beer, top shelf whisky)

Business is well - could be busier, but I can't complain. Looking to get my website redone. Am also toying w/ writing a third book. Maybe later this year. But it won't be a business book. The next business-related stuff I write I'll sell on my site.

What else... think I'll buy Just Cause 2 tomorrow for the XBox.... ummm... I called the cable company. Now that the Jets will be on "Hard Knocks" this year, I have to get HBO back.

Man, I'm really reaching here... my life is friggen boring these days. Just the way I like it. I like being early-to-mid 40's. Tis a good time in life. :)

The one consolation is, mostly idiots live on the shore. So when the oceans rise, they'll have to ask nicely if they can sleep on my lawn. And I'll say "no".

Me either!!!

shit

Last couple girls I've made time with have been into girls too.  I'm not sure if the world is getting more awesome or I'm getting luckier or what.

I always found those chicks kind of disappointing, truthfully. Gimme one who's just into guys any day.

That was oddly... disturbing. :)

Unwashed Village / Re: Help me crack Macrovision on my old VHS tapes

I see - that really sucks.

I'd say use a computer as the bridge, but I almost guarantee you'll run into synching issues, etc.

any chance of recording them to another vhs tape - at least you're covered for awhile then.

Difficult (if not impossible) to bypass machine to machine.

Just buy them on dvd. The VCR tapes are almost certainly standard aspect ratio, where the dvd will be widescreen. Worth the price right there.

So I was starting dating this girl; really nice, cute, And did I mention bisexual? So she had been in a relationship with her current roommate for 3 years.

This post is useless without pictures

The A Team was awsome, despite the disturbing lack of death and dismemberment.

Once you left amd brug stopped posting there, the debate forum kinda died. It was sad to see it sitting there, so I requested it be shot.

And then, just for kicks, we shot the other forum too. It was a fun day.

I'm LOVING Mass Effect 2. I like that they made it a little more shooter-like. Infiltrator w/ cloak and sniper rifle is really fun.

I lost my original save, so I couldn't import my old Shepard, but it's not that big a deal. NPC's are better this time around, too (although they were great in the first as well - but I think this one has a more fleshed-out group of companions.) I like the "personal / loyalty" missions for each.

Good days for gaming, for sure.
